*Context is king*

Again, nobody looked at the Hawks as a serious contender man.

Oh I know. Dude is implying because Bud was the coach of both teams and they both won 60 the teams are comparable.

If KD comes back and is 80% I think they lose to Golden State but it's going to take that.

If KD ain't KD they getting a ring.

Yea but none of that influences his production though. Sure he could complain less but there is no way to honesty say Steph is more of a univerdal fit than KD man.
I'd argue that Steph is an easier fit, because he'd need less touches in order to be effective. KD is nice with his, but he seems to need the ball more.

Lol @ blaming MDA. He's definitely trash but there was a point midway thru the season when he said he doesn't even coach harden and just let's him do whatever he wants
thats D'antoni's whole MO... he gives the key to the PG and let them cook.. the man had jeremy lin looking like Steve Nash for 45 days...

Dantoni doesnt run many sets on offense, its the same high screens or drive and kicks...

How though?

Even though over their career's KD has had a higher % of his FGs assisted vs. Steph has?

Even though any "Off-Ball" means of scoring Steph can excel in, KD can also excel in? In addition to High Posts, Cuts, Lobs, and Low Post opportunities?

KD’s ability to take over a game on the strength of him ISO-ing could fit anywhere. What’s impressive is he was able to transition from playing that style with okc to joining a ball movement heavy offense in gsw in a way that was close to seamless. Even with the ball in his hands less he’s been just as productive. Dude is the greatest mercenary ever.

Steph and the warriors is the epitome of a mutually beneficial relationship. he doesnt find as much team success if he were on another roster. He benefits from klay’s shooting/defense and the fact that there are multiple ball handlers allows him to run thru picks and get to his spots. At the same time, more often than not, this team goes only as far as steph takes them.

We've known who MDA is since Phoenix. This ain't breaking news. He's a offensive coordinator.

And Harden fits perfect with him. He only cares about getting stats just like MDA. No effort on defense, MDA doesn't care about defense. Harden gets exposed in the playoffs, MDA's coaching style gets exposed in the playoffs.

They're a great fit.

Reason being is that I can see Steph handling the offense by playing the point, assisting and running an offense, which even allows KD to do his thing. I think that it was proven with and without KD in the playoffs. I think that it is easier for Steph to turn his scorer off and on, than it is for KD.

Still waiting on an answer as to how Harden CHOKED.

That word gets overused man.

This was his time to show he’s an all time great. KD went down Harden went ghost.

Game 7 was tight in the 4th. Steph took over for his team Harden didn’t.

Maybe choked isn’t the right word. But he didn’t rise to the occasion, given his superstar status

Yea because he isn't AS great of a scorer.

So of course he can "turn it off" more easily than KD.

Harden choked against the warriors?

MDA choked as a coach too?

Come on y’all

1 shot in the last 8 minutes of a critical game where the other team is missing their best player isn't choking? 4 turnovers in the 4th quarter of an elimination game at home isn't choking?

When the pressure was on and expectations were at their highest, he folded. You can't dispute that.

This is a pattern that's 7 years and counting.

First of all the rockets were down 2-0 and the series is over if they lose either of those games and he brought them back into the series with Eric damn Gordon. We only use him choking when it fits

In general though for me, people conflate mistakes, missed shots, and turnovers with choking. EYE didn’t see him choke at all, he just wasn’t perfect.

No defending everything but their second best player is still better than James harden

I live in Toronto too

There is no way in HELL Raptors were the better team.

I mean...they were the heavy favourites coming into the series. They were the #2 seed, they had the best player, before this series, they had the better coach, they have more chemistry, I can go on. Oh yeah, and they also won. lol
