NAS Thread - Nas x HitBoy - MAGIC 3 Out Now

They ain’t making much off streaming b. All the money comes from tours and merch. Musicians hate hate hate streaming.
i mean
idk how much they making
and im sure not everyone making the same amount
specifically heard nas made a deal regarding the release of this album
with a distributor
so jay snake self could effect nas bottom line

^ thats what im saying, the streaming is good pocket change but nothing like the physical album sales

The tours/merch are what rakes it in

Kanye made half a mil in 30 min from his Ye merch
folks keep saying this
like they seen what the check is looking like

^ ok 'supposedly' he made that

4:44 tour 'supposedly' grossed 44 mil

Im sure jay aint made that much off streams/album sales

generally they make approximately $0.004 per stream.
1Kstreams = $4
10K streams = $40
100K streams = $400
1mill streams = $4000
10mill streams = $40,000
100mill streams = $400,000
1 billion streams = $4,000,000

also, 1500 streams whether it be 1 song on the album or accumulated throughout tracks on the album
=1 album sale.

spotify's stats are public. download spotify on your computer, and then hover your cursor above the bars to the right of the songs to see the stats.

the 12 mill plays you see on the right, appears when I hover my cursor on those grey bars.

the emails dont show the metrics, when I do the math though it's approx $0.004 per stream.

BBC reported $0.007, so if that's the case, they'd be making more than the figures i had above
https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-25217353

Here's another person with 0.004 per stream:

A lot of people make one cent off streams and a lot people don’t get paid. I know Spotify pays the least amount unless that changed.

Still playing this NaS album, **** is hard.

Lyrically better than 90% of the rap to drop in 2018, I can get over the fact that him and Kanye don’t mesh and he’s offbeat
That don’t mean it’s not weak tho...
Nas and Ye have no chemistry at all
He sound lazy now

Bonjour is the only joint that’s hittin

Literally nobody is talking about this “album”
