Cory's lack of puzzle skills and flip flopping politically will almost certainly continue to be his downfall of never winning a season. He must be getting a decent appearance check for the Challenge and the other MTV shows he appears on.

AS5 Rivals next month. They are doing MM/FM/FF pairs though!?! Get ready for some carnival style challenges/eliminations. Hope Leroy can finally get one. They should just stop casting Veronica, Aneesa and Nany though smh. Melissa so damn bad!

Based on his last couple performances you may be right but I'm not willing to write him off just yet. I get he's in it for an appearance check but also not ready to put him in the Aneesa/Nany/Veronica territory so fast.
Also a bit strange they are doing this season as MTV only and not on Paramount. Outside of Catfish and Ridiculousness I have no idea what other shows than The Challenge they even air anymore.

History lesson for the kiddies: the first challenge in The Gauntlet was a treading water challenge. It was "Snake Soup", and there were hundreds of snakes dropped in the pool. Elka won it for the RW. The main difference is, with a half hour run time, the actual challenge was about five minutes of the episode.
The challenge lasted over an hour, and they made them keep their elbows up at the hour mark.

It's not so much that seasons are long, it's that the episodes are sooooo drawn out, which makes it feel a lot longer. The first Gauntlet and Inferno seasons had four-month run times, but they packed a lot into half-hour episodes, and the pacing was so much better. Now, they have to include pointless house drama, pointless selection processes, and show everyone's turn in each Challenge.

I don't care about none of that. They really made us watch them tread water for half the episode. Cut that **** down to 3 minutes

I'm in the same boat as you (no pun intended!). They had Tori and Cara, two of the best female players currently and they give us some damn endurance elimination!?? Plus for the first few hours they just had to float and keep their heads above water. I'm sure they could have come up with a number of better pirate ship and/or water related eliminations but gave us that trash.
There have been plenty of other lame eliminations even after Fresh Meat 1 (when the show really started to take off IMO) but that crap reminded me of the early seasons when they had elims in a hotel pool.

The Karma vote thing kinda sucks lol. Feels more like a popularity contest. Kyland has been dead last in everything with the swimming by a lot and I bet he ends up 2nd still cause of the voting. He was good in regular challenges but this final is kicking his ***.
Give me the old challenge back when the backstabbing, strategy, and gameplay were more important lol

I have a feeling the Karma vote affects the winner on the female side, could see Michelle placing 2nd but because of folks not liking Jenny aligned with Bananas that Michelle has a higher score. Though the whole idea of giving every single player an ability to affect the outcome is very lame. Maybe wait til at least halfway in the season before granting folks votes/scores.

That is an insane amount of swimming though.
Think Jordan and Jenny take this but TJ did say the karma vote did affect the women's final standing and if that's the case she may lose because of that cuz no one really ****s with her.

EYE was surprised there was no eating challenge as well until realizing these people basically swam a whole *** ocean so doing a gross eating challenge was cruel upon cruel.
Thought for sure Jenny was gonna get got by the Karma vote but glad that wasn't the case.

Yea that Final format was buns. Underwater scooters were kind of cool though. But having to swim back on all those stages was so lame. Will give props to Jordan though, guy is a beast in the finals.
