MoviePass Offers $10 A Month Subscription Service

If they're smart, they would introduce the new features asap so they could stop the bleeding because summer is gonna **** then hard. I actually see this joint trading around 0.10
 
seen upgrade and was pretty good, going to see either Hotel Artemis or Ocean's 8 next. Can't find a theatre showing Future World or How to talk to girls at parties
 
I would only movie pass Ocean's 8. The trailer never looked that good to me.

I saw Hotel Artemis.

It's not as much action as you might think, but I liked it. It had a different angle. Batista has really improved with his acting/comedic timing. Jodie Foster's accent was sort of annoying, it needed subtitles.

Didn't know Al aka Paperboy was in the movie. Atlanta's cast is blowing up.

I haven't seen Hereditary. That's next either today or tomorrow. It's getting good reviews, so you might want to pick that.

I liked Hotel Artemis better than I liked Solo.
 
Saw Upgrade the other day, liked it a lot. Who watching that Megadon movie when it come out :lol:

seen Hotel Artemis, could've potentially been great but just alright to me, only Batista and Sofia Boutella were great to me in there imo

Hereditary

Better than the other 2 for sure even if you don't like creepy movies.

After some time away from it I like Hotel Artemis even less. So I'd say watch Solo before that too.
 
MoviePass Wants To Launch Bring a Friend & Family Option Soon

MoviePass is hoping to evolve by launching Bring a Friend and Family Plan options in the near future. The subscription service captured the attention of the film industry last year when they lowered their price to $9.95 per month, allowing viewers to see a film in theaters every day on an exceptional deal. There are lingering doubts this business model is feasible for the longterm (see: declining stock prices), but MoviePass has had a very positive effect on multiplexes. More people are going to the theater and seeing films they normally wouldn't check out on the big screen.

One of the catches with MoviePass, however, is that it can be used to purchase only a single ticket for one individual. This means if a MoviePass subscriber has plans to see a film with someone who does not have the service, that other person is stuck paying the full price for their ticket. Fortunately, it sounds like that's about to change as MoviePass works to introduce new features.


Screen Rant had the opportunity to speak with MoviePass' Theodore Farnsworth, where we spoke about what's in store for the company's future. Unsurprisingly, the ability to bring a friend/family member is the most requested MoviePass alteration, and they've been developing it. Farnsworth told us the target release date is mid-July - right in the heat of the summer movie season.

When it goes live, Bring a Friend should go over very well with customers. Independent research shows half of MoviePass subscribers go to the theater with someone who does not have the service, so there's clearly a void that's about to be filled. What makes this even better for consumers is that the rates are staying the same at $9.95 per month. How MoviePass intends to stay afloat paying for even more tickets remains to be seen, but it's nice to see the company is listening to what their subscribers want and are actively working on implementing key changes. Especially after MoviePass crossed the 2 million plateau, it'd be easy for them to rest on their laurels, but they want to improve their product.

The Family Plan should also be a hit. Over the course of the year, there are numerous titles (particularly animated films) that target this demographic, and it is by no means cheap for a full family to go to the movies. MoviePass should make trips to the theater a little less expensive, allowing families to save money on tickets that can be used for concessions. Complete details for both Bring a Friend and Family Plan have yet to be revealed, but they're shaping up to be great additions to what is already a remarkable service.

I liked it until the end. The dysfunctional family was more interesting than the crazy grandma getting back at them part.

I laughed a few times in that movie. I was in a small theater so everyone was pretty much having the same reaction, including the what the **** just happen at the end.
 
It had its moments . Just wasn’t super impressed with the movie . I definitely didn’t see what happened to the little girl coming
