Moments That Made You Realize You’re Washed

I’m always out here at night. I wish I lived in a 24 hour city. Places used to stay open late until covid now everything closes early af.

My boy is the same way. I’ll get off work at 1 am and hit him up and he’s always down to kick it.

Wife is the opposite. I don’t even see her all week.

I’m 34.
Was back in Mpls last month, straight crazy how some late night spots and food spots close @ 9 now. Miss me with that ****.

i mean im washed but closing a “late nite” spot at 9pm feels criminal

We used to have hella spots you could pull up to at 2am and get some ramen or pasta or whatever downtown. Lots of places were open.

I don’t even drink but I still like going out and doing stuff late night or pulling up on a nice place to eat in the middle of my shift at midnight.

Feeling good guys. At a wedding for an former colleague today and was a kinda mini reunion of coworkers. Hadn’t seen most of them in 6 years. Two of the girls were like wow you look so good you haven’t changed aged at all. Not gonna lie - felt pretty good….external validation…the young man’s serotonin.

I wish I could get knocked out by 11, insomnia like hell. I tell people I do though so they don't bug me.
Yea I can’t fall asleep on the early tip but what helps me is listening to podcasts lol I put the AirPods on and I end up passing out 15 minutes into it
must be talking about a kids party
Not no Mexican kid party lol

played about 2 hours of full court hoop yesterday, had a 20 minute break after my team lost our 2nd game but we kept goin when we got back on.

surprisingly felt really good during the runs but damn my first step is not there any more, i can't get to the basket whenever i want. And my goodness my body and feet are sore as hell today. i gotta use both hands to propel me up from a seated position

Gotta press L2 and call for those screens.

Ice your feet. Regular humans never use recovery methods.

Serious thread

the idea of social atrophy is hella interesting. i think the pandemic and early stages of quarantining might've accelerated the comfort in isolation for a lot of us (or at least shown us how easy it can be to just exist solo-dolo).

I am noticing that in my mid-30s, it's harder for me to make new friends or get excited by the thought of meeting new people. My social battery just feels like it's just not there —when I pull up to a party, I'm not trynna be a social butterfly and talk to new acquaintances, I just want to get my food and find the nearest homie to chop it up with. I don't know if it's because I'm washed or if I'm just too lazy. I've been wanting to move out of the Bay Area for a minute now but I'm also afraid of having to hit reset with my social circle.

i feel like there's a correlation between my age and the number of screens i have to fight through

HS and college, I remember dudes just always wanted to go 1-on-1. nowadays, i'm going through on- and off-ball screens, pin downs. i'm just waiting for the day some team tries to do an elevator screen
