Isaiah Wright and Camion Patrick were arrested this week in connection with the death of Caleb Thomas Radford, who was stabbed to death on July 25 in Alcoa, Tennessee. Patrick was arrested in Bloomington, Indiana by IU campus police and will be extradited to Blount County soon, while his younger brother Wright was taken into custody in nearby Harriman. Two other men were arrested in connection with the case on August 3 and held on $1 million bail.

The 20-year-old Wright was a featured player on Netflix’s hit documentary series Last Chance U, which is set at East Mississippi Community College and follows its disproportionately talented football team. Like many teammates, Wright and Patrick both had shots at playing for more prominent schools, as Wright turned down a scholarship offer to play at Auburn and Patrick was once committed to playing at Tennessee. EMCC made its name as one of the best junior colleges in the country by recruiting those who bounced out of prominent schools and offering them a chance to rehabilitate their images and play in front of SEC scouts. Several former players went on to big programs, and some (like LeGarrette Blount and Chad Kelly) even made the NFL.

Wright enrolled at EMCC in 2015, and was a star at running back as a freshman, although he had injury troubles and struggled to mesh with the coaching staff in 2016. He was at one point one of the top ranked backs in the nation.

Patrick, 22, played wide receiver and running back in college and IU coach Kevin Wilson once called him the “best player on the football team.” Patrick struggled with injuries and eligibility issues at EMCC, and unfortunately tore his ACL in 2016 with the Hoosiers. His career ended due to medical hardship in July and he remained on scholarship at IU.

Me and my lady went to an adult store a couple years ago. She couldn't believe I knew damn near every star in there.
