Will BS ever let DLO finish the game on the floor?
cecilia-gutierrez-Byron-Scott.jpg

Randle is gonna go 15-15 in 32-33 minutes tonight and can't drink legally yet.

But there's no future for him.....

Edit:
He's at 16-14 in 28 minutes. Second of a back to back.

Has a lot to work on to be all star level
Jumper
Post game
Right hand
Defense

LO never had a right hand but was a good post player, defender and worked on his outside game and became an average shooter

Randle is so young and has a really good foundation of talent

Ask myself the same. What killed me is in pregame they kept talking about how Byron will let Russell play more after the all star break, but won't let him finish this game and keeps Hibbert on the floor...smh

This nightmare of Byron needs to end.

It's such a pain because him coming in when the team is down 15 impacts his game. Also impacts everyone else on the court.

But more times than not, the team makes runs or seems to play better with him on the floor.

Also there's at least 1 pass a game for each Bass & Hibbert. That are easy damn passes that they are either not ready for inexcusably or blow it.

It's baffling to think what his stats are if he is allowed to start and finish games and gets 30 minutes. Then you realize he is not allowed to do that.

So Aldridge just said D'Angelo has no idea what to ask Byron in order to improve and is completely lost as a point guard currently. Amazing.
:rolleyes :smh:[/quote]This is extremely disheartening and worrisome. :wow:

He kind of cleared it up post game Thursday. Saying he's never played Point. So he's adjusting to it and not always sure what he's seeing.

Also to add to it, I think the fact that Byron doesn't have a good relationship with him, makes him weary. Think about when you went to school, and had a teacher you hated... You would rarely ask questions from them if you needed help. A teacher who you enjoyed, it's easy to ask questions.

Even then the coach has to always cue on guys during film to say "hey this is what you do here." Or use spare time to talk it out and help him figure out what he's not seeing.

Byron had a bunch of praise for how Randle has played. But said Nance will start again soon. Possibly Sunday.

This guy is 12 rungs below Mike Brown. He makes Del Harris look like Phil Jackson.

That tweet was phrased pretty badly. Byron's been criticizing D'Angelo for a lot of things recently like he can do no right, so I think the "no idea what to ask Byron" part is in reference to that. The tweet makes it sound like he doesn't know what questions to ask to be a better PG which I don't think is the case.

It's an entirely different experience for kids in foster care/group homes.

'S all I'm'a say.

The only good thing about Byron coming to LA is that he finally ditched the baggy Steve Harvey suits and wears slim fitting suits now

That's it

Randle has been playing better. Especially since going back to starting lineup. Just as he started the season well in the starting lineup.

But unfortunately for us, Byron is moving Randle back to the bench :smh:

Some Russell stats.....

List of Guards since 1946... Who in their Rookie season who had 16.0PP36, 4.8RP36. 4.5AP36 and played at least 18 Minutes Per Game.

Russell shooting:
- From Restricted area - 61.2% (19% of his shots)... Above average compared to rest of the league
- Paint non-restrticted area - 44.9% (14% of his shots)... Slightly above average.
- Mid-range 37% (25% of shots). Around average.

Would like to see the mid-range % of shots and Restricted Area % of shots flip in the future.

Where he struggles is corner 3s, shooting 8 for 27... 29%, needs to be about 4 - 3's or 10% better, but such a small sample size.

Above the break 3s, he also struggles a bit, he's 34.2% from there on 187 shots. That is league average, but needs to be better from there... He's about 10 3's from being where we want him from being 74/187 as opposed to 64/187.

But he's actually shooting decent from everywhere (except the corner), but needs to be significantly better from the 3 as he gets older.

He seems to lack a bit of strength, so HOPEFULLY, that comes, and makes 3s a bit easier for him.

So some very promising company, and a couple duds. Just have to see where it goes.

Should end up somewhere in between Kendall Gil and Magic Johnson.

Kendall Gill is my favorite player.... Hopefully someone gets this reference.

It's all about getting reps (Thanks Byron) and Hitting that weight room. Being serious about improving in the off-season.

Here's the thing about Byron, D-Lo, and life in general.

If he's going to be great, Byron not playing him enough won't stop him.

Byron can either be his excuse, or an  obstacle.

Totally his choice.

If 10 years from now dude is an absolute bust, "Man, he got drafted into effing BYRON SCOTT'S hands" will simply be an excuse.
