I love the Office. But is anyone else bothered by how NBC snuck a fast one past us? I mean think about it for a second? Pam and Roy were a couple early on in the series. Maybe not the best couple, but a couple non the less. So Jim likes Pam. He's ALWAYS over at her desk talking to her or around while at work. Now all awhile this is going on, Roy is down in the warehouse working with a sense of what could be going on, but nothing solid. But its obvious to us what's going on.

Now fast forward to the time where they had the casino/office party in the warehouse. Roy leaves and Jim alone in the office with Pam goes in for the kiss to express his true feelings.

OK, now I'm not here to debate if Roy was a good or bad boyfriend. But what part of the game was Jim playing? How did NBC make a love story out of a guy blatantly overstepping his boundaries EVERYDAY?

Someone make sense of this? He straight undercut Roy and NBC made it a beautiful match made in Office heaven.

Yeah I was reminded of this when Michael mentioned it an episode or two ago

Jim's kind of a punk, if you think about it.

I see blatant disrespect like that in real life all the time. Unfortunately

That is exactly how they created a love story.

FINALLY! Everyone turned a blind eye.

It was high school behavior but we got duped into thinking it was magical. "Aww Jim is her true soul mate, not that Roy". How is Pam excused in all this too? She knew what Jim was doing but didn't make a move to stop him or the relationship.

Remember the Karate episode when Jim was playing too much but she only stopped him because someone was looking? Damn really though? For real? Let that have been a man and the roles were reversed. He'd been killed off the series.

She wasn't happy with roy tho...
Hey, that's perfectly fine. Be a woman about though. She was just too busy loving the attention from Jim. I know Roy was a meat heat at times but be woman enough to do something about it.

that's how they got the audience to "cheer" for Jim.  He was the complete opposite of Roy, who was portrayed as a jerk boyfriend anyway

Man, Roy wasn't the best but he had his moments. I feel for the guy. Wish he would have got with Karen.

Could anyone else imagine the roles reversed though and Pam was the aggressor? Roy would have been called all types of dogs and the female that was in Roy's face would be called every name in the book.

What if Roy was a perfectly good guy? Would Jim still be in Pam's grill every show?

Crazy.

Now that you mention it... yeah. Roy probably had the right to punch Jim

Na it wouldn't even have been worth it. Why do that? It only gives you gratification for a short while but lowers you to the other person/s level as well. He leaves hurt and upset, Pam and Jim are the bad guys. But Roy's response was going after Jim and having Dwight mace him for lulz and making Roy look like the disgruntled salty ex.

Pam plays a key role too. She should have understood that even though Roy was a crap fiance', she shouldn't have ever entertained the game Jim was throwing at her. She wanted attention and she received it not from her husband. Jim should have simply respected Roy for being the fiance'.

It was messed up on Jim and Pam's part to flirt and establish feelings for one another behind Roy's back...But hey, it happens.

Jim and Pam ended up together and Roy ended up at the Vitamin Shoppe. Hahaha
You got me watching Casino Night now.
