On the real fellas, it's been a pleasure.. I graduate tomorrow, and get that Master's Degree. It's been a lot of pain, hurt, and struggle in my life. But NT Lakers fam has always been here to turn to in order to escape from it all.
congrats man. best of luck.

FYI Monroe is one of the worst post defenders in the league. And he doesn't play with intensity every night.

Dude is not worth the max, he's gonna steal money from some team this offseason

Glad no one said to give him the max then.

And he's 24, ie, can still improve. He may not be a good post defender now in Detroit, does not mean he can not go to another team and learn to play defense.

Young players do improve when put in better positions to succeed on other teams, I believe you've seen that by now watching dozens of Lakers over the years. Monroe could easily become the next one of those.
Monroe's value on the open market is going to be the max, that's my point. He's a young big man with offensive skills. A bunch of rebuilding teams with capspace will set his market value quite high, plus Detroit can always match since he's restricted.

Also, just my opinion from having watched him a lot since he was at Georgetown, but imo Greg Monroe isn't a franchise-carrying big man. He's like a softer, less aggressive Zbo. I've read a lot of Pistons fans/bloggers saying they'd rather try to trade him for some valuable pieces than have to pay him the max.

Monroe wouldn't be a team-altering piece for the Lakers the way Love or Aldridge would. Of all the scenarios, Monroe on a max contract is one of the less desirable ones imo.

Hes young and can improve but thinking somebody going to a Antoni ran team will improve their defense is laughable

Has X improved at all on D????

*shrugs*

Hey, stick with the narrative tho.

But with Love and pick __ he wouldn't need to carry anything as much as just blend in. Be a piece to the puzzle.

A lesser Bynum to the Kobe/Pau/LO ideal. Fair?

Congrats b.

I knew my yellin at you would help inspire you...... :lol

The reality for the lakers is despair, because the fans still hope for a turnaround. I learned that there can be no true despair without hope and the Lakers will feed its fans hope to poison their souls. A championship is all the laker fans wanted. So easy…, so simple… and like shipwrecked men turning to sea water from uncontrollable thirst, many have died trying. On April 19, 2014, you will watch the playoffs as the lakers sit out and when you guys have truly understood the depth of their failure
you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Wash ya face b

Man they don't even want NT Lakers to bond...

Team Fire Mike Brown is that still a thing?!?!?

Agreed. He's a great "piece to the puzzle" type player.
