**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Mathruin and Myles would be the perfect trade, but there's no realistic route to get there.

Mathurin is more gettable than Myles.

On this week's episode of 'The Young Man and the Three' we welcome Austin Reaves of the Los Angeles Lakers and Duncan Robinson of the Miami Heat. Austin and Duncan had an amazing convo. They start of the episode discussing what JJ Redick is like as coach of the Lakers and Austin’s unique relationship with him, and the important of forming relationships with your teammates and coaches outside of basketball. Austin then shares what it’s like being a huge part of an opponents’ scouting reporting now compared to earlier in the year and his approach to the game. He also opens up about his relationship with LeBron James and how LeBron’s trust in him as a player has grown. Duncan and Austin then discuss the NBA Draft process, their experiences as ‘older’ players draft, and why players like themselves and Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht always seem to get overlooked. They also each share their routines while on the road and on game days, as well as address the current three-point narrative around the league. Austin also shares what it was like playing the Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry on Christmas Day when he hit his game winner. To close out the episode, Tommy and Austin shares their thoughts on the latest update to the NBA 2k25 ratings. Let’s go!

I don't even know if I want to tune in tonight
Lemme spare you the agony big dog

I'm at the very least going to take that report as serious talks are happening between LAL/IND which means Rob is off his *** and working the phones a week before the deadline. Myles on not, something should get done.

Just spinning our wheels with minor trades

Nothing will change until we blow it up. AD and Bron window to win a chip closed as Lakers. Even fully healthy this team isn’t good enough, even with Vuc Or Jonas or whoever

Genuinely curious, is the window open the next 15 years with prime Joker, SGA, Luka, Ant and Wemby (cc C CP1708 :lol) coming up? Let's just close shop.

West is relatively open this season. Everyone has chinks in their armor, even the Thunder.

I am confident enough to guarantee a trade for a big man gets done in the next few days

Pelinka has no other choice but to make a deal otherwise he loses his job

As long as the Lakers get at least one of the below centers and as long as any of the below STARTS AT CENTER with AD moved back to PF, they are immediately championship contenders. No ifs ands or buts. Guaranteed legit title contenders

Turner
Kessler
Time Lord
Vucevic

None of this “zero expectations” crap. We been known for three long years that the Lakers ain’t winning no chip until they get a starting center to put next to AD so AD can be at his best playing PF.

There should be all expectations that this franchise will do what’s smart so they can put AD and Bron in the absolute best position to win it all. Having zero expectation for this team with two hall of famers is loser mentality
