**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Hey Tupac, lemme save you the hassle

Just curious.

What star (young… but we can even say older too) do you think will be available in the next few years?

And not just someone like Brad Beal or Trae Young for example, a player that legit can be a 1a on a championship team.

Build it up with draft picks. Stock pile FRP’s by trading AD and Lebron for picks. Screw star hunting. Do what OKC did. Getting an aging star and paying him $50-60 mill for 3+ years isn’t what I would do

Ain’t gonna happen as long as Jeanie and Rambis are in charge.

They’re all about acquiring established stars thru trade or free agency.

They have proven they don’t know anything about drafting a future elite star when they draft in the top 7

Ingram
DLo
Lonzo
Randle

All of the above are non championship level players

In fact the best player they ever drafted among that young core ended up being Josh Hart, as far as impact on a playoff level team is concerned. And he wasn’t even a top 10 pick

True. They think “this is the Lakers, the fans want stars”. But in reality we want competent management and winning basketball, not big names and a mediocre product

Again, they commit the fifth or sixth least turnovers per game.

The TEAM might be 5th or 6th but Bron and Reaves (our two main handlers now) have their turnovers around 7 a game combined.

No one else on the roster can create or distribute so their turnovers likely offensive fouls or travels etc.

Bron's minutes are down from last year, but his turnovers are up. (Up from the year before that as well.)

Reaves turnovers are also up, as his minutes (and handling) are too so a lil more understandable.

Okay.

I had this conversation with someone in here a while back but here goes again…

1. So what team around the league is in win now mode and has the assets to get an AD trade done?
2. Forget the fact that LeBron has a no trade clause and is a year away from probably retiring, same question… who is the team that’s trading for year 22/23 LeBron and giving up a first round pick to do it?

Watching the Clipper game now and I see two franchises in similar situations with AD/Lebron, Harden/Kawhi. Aging stars, not good enough to win it all but neither team really interested in a rebuild so both fielding some version of a competitive team around their core and rolling with that. Lakers have the better star power, Clippers have the better supporting cast not the results are not that different from each other.

Hachimura tried to attack baseline on Zubac and Zu shoved the ball right back in Rui’s face when soft xxx Rui went up for the shot smh

Rui
Gabe
Vando
Hayes
Reddish
JHS

Trade em all, they all suck

That’s why this Lakers team sucks

It aint Bron and AD

It’s the way Pelinka has constructed this roster. The dude has no vision whatsoever.

Zubac stats: 14 pts, 13 Rebs, 3 blks

AD stats: it doesn’t even matter cause he is getting outplayed, outmuscled, and out worked by a big white boy. What’s new.

Great points. I’ve been saying trade LeBron and AD for about 2 years now, so ya, now we’re in this sucky position where there are no suitors with a bunch of picks to send us.

Ivica Gasol has damn near 20 points and 20 rebounds and swatting everything that comes his way inside the paint.

I thought AD was supposed to be one of the best defensive “CENTERS” in this league? Why can’t he hold down the paint against Zubac?

Oh wait, maybe cause AD AIN’T A GOTDAMN CENTER FOR THE TEN BILLIONTH TIME!!!!

 :smh:

Unserious clown franchise

Anybody got Pelinka, Kurt, or Jeanie’s phone number?

I need to talk business

I’m sick of this mediocrity.

I have an offer to buy the Smurfs

AD didn't have his usual "pop" tonight which is concerning because he hasn't played since Wednesday.

Thought he settled for a lot of jumpers and didn't have much impact on D.

And AR got hurt to close the game. :smh:
