At the earliest, I'm thinking the Celtics game.So.....is Vando available tonight?
Aside from the 2 Finals appearances or?Seriously
What has Pat Riley done in let’s say the past 10 years to make you say yeah he’s the guy this team needs for a rebuild?
I love it.Want to fix everything, get deep pockets (real deep pockets) and spend on what you can more than others.......front office. No salary cap there.
Presti makes 5 mil. Give him 10.
You don't like Presti? Sign the guy you do like. Double that person's salary.
Get Presti AND Pat Riley. (President + GM)
Or a Riley type, and a Presti type. (Insert whatever names that strike your fancy)
Use your resources that way. More than other teams are willing to spend. Flex on them. (Plus it depletes them to boot)
Those guys can navigate the trades with other teams + lure stars over time. When those moments aren't available, they can draft solid pieces to continue improving the edges of the roster.
Those pieces in place will also bring you a coach that will be there longer than 2 years.
President
GM
Head Coach
All in place over a long term, with our market + name brand would give us the advantages we've lost the last 10-12 years.
Jerry Buss
Jerry West
Pat Riley
Jerry Buss
Mitch
Phil Jackson
Jeanie
Kobe's agent
5-6 diff fired coaches
New owner with true deep pockets to use
President
GM
HC
someone had to make it in the East…Aside from the 2 Finals appearances or?
Seriously

This rebuttal is like someone mentioning jordan's 6 rings and then the rebuttal is "With this logic, Horry > Jordan."someone had to make it in the East…
But with that same logic we want to get rid of someone who actually oversaw a title season and replace them with one who didn’t but call that an upgrade?
I love it.
Just gotta remember that as fans, we can't actually do any of that.
Plan accordingly?
If Bron is likely (hopefully… it’s time) done then what exactly would be the point of paying Reaves $30 plus million as the team begins to enter a rebuild?
Letting a player walk for nothing doesn’t really make but don’t smart teams also move on from supporting players before they get too expensive?
Okay…This rebuttal is like someone mentioning jordan's 6 rings and then the rebuttal is "With this logic, Horry > Jordan."
There is no denying that Riley orchestrated the dynamic of the current Heat, 2 Finals runs included.
I very seriously doubt that the collective opinion among Lakers brass is "Everything goes through Jeannie and she definitely knows what she's doing."
I agree that that’s the likely outcome.Reaves for $30-35M is more than fair. Re-sign him and figure it out later (likely a trade).
Wayminit...Okay…
So ignoring results what is it about the roster construction that makes you say yeah he’s our guy?
They have Jimmy, who’s now at olds w/ Riley… but was never able to surround him with another star or good enough supporting cast to get it done.
Sounds pretty familiar right?
I'm a full believer in unity driving things to change however.
Fans accepting the mediocrity we're being fed is what "they" want. (CP says, Jeanie loves you)
Us, as a fanbase, demanding change via social media, local radio, not buying tix-merchandise etc drives change.
Riles has done a very good job in the draft and developing guys during this run.
A couple of misfires via free agency and trades though.
Have we seen a fan base make an ower sell?
I’m kinda trying to appreciate the fact that we have a competitive team now
They’re about to soon be in salary cap hell because they have to pay Shai 4 years/$300 mil plus two rookie max extensions w/ J Dub and Chet.Presti been putting on a masterclass:
-Bottom 5 lowest salary cap (available salary cap to use on whatever)
-9-15 FRPs, 21-27 second round picks, 35+ picks in next 7 years (depending how they convey)
-Prioritize defensive minded players (I-Hart, J-dub, Caruso, Cason Wallace, Dort etc.)
We're over here like Gollum in Lord of the rings trying to maximize our few first round/second round picks left
