I like Aaron Glenn but why would you want a defensive HC? Feel like most aren’t successful and lean towards the offensive side.

Some of the greatest… belichick, Tomlin and parcells, and Pete Carroll were DCs

As a matter of fact, most of the successful and Super Bowl winning coaches are from the defensive side

He just has to hire good auxiliary pieces and coaches

i dont disagree, but if you wanna look at recent history - over the last 10 years its only been 1 defensive HC:

Andy Reid
Sean McVay
Bill Belichick*
Bruce Arians
Doug Pederson
Gary Kubiak

Basically 5:4 it’s even…

All the offensive guys struggled to win except (mcvay) initially. Took Reid forever to get over the hump. Belichick literally won with elite offenses and defenses for 20 years

yea but you know this is a copy cat league that follows trends from recent history.

the scale can be tipped at any point again if a defensive coach goes on a run.

Doug McDermont, Dan Quinn were defensive coaches. Reid and Sirianni offense, again it’s even at this point

Game is all offense now, can’t play defense. Obviously there’s a few that are good but I’d want an offensive guy if I was hiring a coach.

I think Quinn is a good HC though.

Lions fans gotta be a bit salty. He tricked off the game not running the ball started getting cute and then having My Prerogative Bobby Brown throw a pass in a crucial spot. That loss pretty much closes the window. Then goes to the rival.
