**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Hard to go wrong with either of them, but I think AD gets the nod after game 4 and just having memorable series altering moments. If he has another strong showing in game 5, it’ll just tip the scales. Lebron has a strong case though, as he’s carried the team at certain moments and is a huge difference maker overall.

We were so damn close to open the game open in the fourth. Up 6 we had SO many stops with missed wide open 3s. One after another. We hit two or 3 of those and it woulda been a 15 pt lead the rest of the way.

AD clanped Jimmy and Bron neutralized Bam which helped slow down Miami’s dribble hand off which is a staple in their offense

Also with the game tied last night Lebron assisted or scored on like 12 pts or w/e to give them the 7 pt lead that they never relinquished

It’s close tho it’s pretty much neck and neck

however I know next game is not gonna be easy
Spo coaching his *** off and has Bron and AD in hell most of the last two games

Don't want to get too far ahead...

But who do you have for Finals MVP?

After game 3 I thought if we won Lebron would get it since AD had such a poor performance. But after Game 4 I think AD is right back in it because of the defense he played on Jimmy.

If game 5 is more of the same with Davis locking down Jimmy, he would be my pick.

Same question was asked in the NBA thread:

Honestly depends on who gets the call to vote. I'd say they're honestly neck and neck. The media wants the Bron narrative for sure, but that's not to suggest he wouldn't be deserving on the merits, he would just based on the numbers he'sputting up. AD I just think his play has dictated whether we win or lose in this series and he's had those 'Heisman moments'. I will acknowledge though I think for AD to get it now though he's going to have to be a monster in G5.

I think he had the advantage after the 1st 2 games, laid an egg in G3, and was great on defense in G4, but didn't necessarily dominate on offense.

In our wins AD been the best player on the floor.
In our loss it was largely because he wasn't. I think that's textbook definition of value.

how many more years do we have Lebron?

He told me 5 years in LA and he's done.

Bron has to be the MVP. He's our best player and orchestrates everything we do on the offensive end.
I wouldn't be mad if it's AD though... We just need #17.

coulda swore it was a 3 year deal plus one year player option. Either way I’ll take him as long as he wants to play. Dude is a freak of nature

I say give them Co-MVP's.

But I don't care about any of that, they can give it to Dudley for all I care, I just want the W.

I NEED 17.

There are 10 year olds that don't know who we are, do it for all those kids. :smokin

Yah I don’t wanna get too far ahead of ourselves
Spo gonna make adjustments and we’ve seen his schemes and their personnel can put our two guys in HELL

they literally throwing everything on the big two and forcing the role players to beat them

if there’s ever a time for ***** *** Danny to show up it gonna have to be game 5

Bron need to come out aggressive next game man
No Magic Johnson mode
We need Scorer mode! Was gonna say Mamba but he ain’t got the jumper :lol

Prior to game 3 I had AD slightly with the lead for FMVP... but Bron has the edge now, he's been the most consistent player throughout. I think I saw he's leading in points, rebounds and assists plus his defense last night was pretty good overall as well. But if AD has a HUGE closeout game he could very easily go home with the hardware. Either way is fine with me

Hopefully the merch doesn’t look too bad. 2009 was awful, 2010 was decent. Still wearing the cartoon faces shirt to this day :pimp:

My cartoon face one from 2010 is starting to wear out in color so I put it on ice. Would be nice to get a new one for this year.

Can’t play an average game and win Friday. Turn it all the way up and end this.

He'll most likely opt out next season and sign a team friendly 3 year deal.

He's absolutely gonna be on the same court as his son (Lord Willing).

despite being known for toughness and persistence, I think Miami lay down and take the L Friday. Lakers by 15. might just be wishful thinking though.

I know some were asking, Lakers won't be wearing the Mamba jerseys for game 5. what they wear is determined prior to the series. The only way the Lakers wear the mamba jerseys again is if this goes 7.

I'm good on the mamba unins...

I think it depends if there's a 3rd star that ends up wanting to come and that'll dictate what Bron does for his last couple seasons. I don't know if Bronny is going to be good enough to play in the league but maybe he does try and stick around to play against him.

We've been planning for next Summer since Lebron signed a couple years ago.

Jrue's coming home next year.

Not sure if they having been doing it for the last couple champs but a new one would be nice. My 2010 got Bynum, Shannon Brown, and Puke fading so I’m still good with Kobe, Gasol, and Mbenga
