RealGM is reporting that the Lakers might try to trade Zo to a team with first round picks.

I'm not even really mad at that.

They were also saying the Lakers might trade with Denver for Kenneth Faried and a 1st rounder.

Not mad at that either. Faried will rebound. Once Julius leaves we need somebody to eat glass.

You know how much I fought for team tank and gathering all this young talent.

The idea was always stack 3-4-5 good young stars, get under cap, then sign 1-2 more and create a solid, deep team.

Sign PG and ____ (Bron, or pre Achilles Boogie, or Klay next year etc)
With Randle/Ingram/Ball/Kuzma/Hart you've got a solid 7-8 man rotation, right?

Maybe get lucky with Lopez or IT taking less to stay. Add a Frye as a specialist type #10 type guy. And then 1-2 of our rookies we just drafted.

That's a solid team/core/future, right?

I want that. Have since 2013-14 when Team tank was founded.

That's my #1 option.

But........if you can guarantee getting Kawhi, leads to LeBron, leads to PG, leads to keeping say Ball and Hart, and MAAAAAAAYBE we still get lucky with a cheap deal for Lopez or IT, and still have the rookies + Frye types for depth........I can't be mad at that. That's a 2-3 year window we fight for titles.

If we flip everything for Kawhi and Bron goes to Philly and PG stays in OKC, I'd lose my ****. 100.

I agree with most of this, but there is a 0 percent chance of IT signing a cheap deal if Lebron is here. I would see him going back to the Celtics for the league minimum before he came back here for the league minimum.
