Like others have said, you can't go wrong with either. Since you've never tried Korean BBQ, you ought to go with that.

Order Kalbi (short ribs)... if it's a good korean bbq place, the meat should fall off the bone

I love SUSHI but have never had Korean BBQ.

So if I had the choice it would be Korean BBQ because in the midwest, I've never even seen a Korean BBQ place and I will try anything once.
