I wouldn't call it WEIRD but some women do feel the need to prove they are self-sufficient.It’s weird when you come across a girl who won’t let you do it.
It goes with the time. Not mad at them for it.

I would like to make sure that I completely understand this scenario. Is the man driving? And is it his/the family car? Prior to my my awakening, and even somewhat now, I would assume that the driver or owner would pay....I wouldn't call it WEIRD but some women do feel the need to prove they are self-sufficient.

Oh i'm sure, but wait till the episode drop and you hear all the nastinessI don't see how Joe's a sucker in this at all, that pod isabout to do NUMBERS![]()

I guess what I’m getting at is that y’all talk about going half on dates and what not all the time....so the dude eats that $50-60+ to fill the tank?storm2006
Not even sure, it was just a random Tweet.
But some people believe that as long as a man is in the car, a woman shouldn't pump the gas.
I personally don't think it is that serious but I understand those that DO.

I'm not even sure when I learned the sides thing, feels like I've always known it but I don't bother practicing itYeah, I didn’t know about the sides stuff either (there are multiple). Apparently the dude is supposed to walk on the side of the sidewalk closest to the road (in case of a puddle, car hopping the sidewalk, etc). The man is also allegedly supposed to sleep on the side closest to the door so just in case there is an intruder he can protect his woman.
If I did not like her as a person we would've never made it to breakfast
Had to take a mental step back and be like "Chill, don't take your bad mood out on her".

I did see some comments in there also saying dudes should fill up the woman's tank.I guess what I’m getting at is that y’all talk about going half on dates and what not all the time....so the dude eats that $50-60+ to fill the tank?

Some women will respect this and others won't care much about it and then realize how important all these things are to her. Even positioning on the train is "important".It never used to be something i'd think about, but towards the latter part of my last relationship I started doing it. Just felt more protective I guess?
Like the deeper we got the more comfortable I felt doing those things.

I have always said the, "MAn should walk on the outside/closest to the crub" was backwards.
Outside of a car hoping the curb (goofy/hilarious hypothetical) I feel there are more potential dangers on the INSIDE of the sidewalk than the outside.
But I don't think anyone wants to logically breakdown that practice.
, it's just one of those things that's just stuck around out of tradition.I've always asked the purpose of this & have never gotten a clear answer, it's just one of those things that's just stuck around out of tradition.
I remember I ****ed my leg up hooping some years ago. I was on crutches for a minute and was riding in the car with my gf at the time. She pulled up to the gas station and proceeded to pump the gas, everything normal. Some old dudes at the pump next to me felt the need to tell me how I wasn’t a real man and who raised me, my woman should never touch a gas pump etc. Being young and yolo just put the middle finger up and said smd but she felt the need to talk back and tell them I was on crutches, my leg was ****ed up etc. This mfer said idc, I’d crawl to the pump before my wife would pump gas in front of me..... wild times.
I've been hit by a car on 2 occasions. I hope she's not expecting to get hit for her just b/c I'm walking on the outside. I'm moving outta the way, & hopefully she does too.Yeah, I didn’t know about the sides stuff either (there are multiple). I mean ole head pulledImagine telling someone you don't know that they're not a real man over PUMPING GAS

Honestly, I have dealt with enough, "Nah, I don't need your help" women that I only offer help
A. If I KNOW you and I know it doesn't bother you
B. You ask
I say that because I have been told it was insulting to ASSUME a woman needs my help. I've been told this by multiple women in various scenarios. Work, personally, etc.
