Jordan Brand will be remastering (building better quality shoes) starting in 2015

i feel that the 2012 IVs had bad chipping except the Cavs and WCs but the fear packs, green glows and toro IVs don't seem to have that problem unless i haven't heard anything about those pairs
i think they used a diff paint or something on those models, can't remember exactly.

but yea my black cement 4s been worn about 20 times and chipping badly, god i need the nike air black cements to drop so i can beat these 2012s to the ground

gonna be honest, i would never like to see JB go back to the OG molds with the 3 and the 4.

i love how people forget that the tongues were disgusting on both, especially the 3. also not a fan of that very thin elephant print.

higher cut on the 4's also looks weird.

if we get 1999 4 shapes and 2001 3's then i'll be good

I been saying this for a few years now. Most people just on the bandwagon saying OG this and that but I like the cuts on most retro's. Casually they are more appropriate in cut. Quality wise they are less of what they were but they are not built for the court anymore. Alot of those OG's were tanks that were boot-like. Plus, am I the only one who notices that people always say OG this and that but will not buy OG's. "He got Game" OG are very reasonable but the sit all across the net. People just like fitting in. Give me retro's. Plus look at shoes like the Concord lows and Bred !!'s, people don't even value the opportunity to have them. Honestly if people were as "sneakerhead" as they claim. No Concord lows wouls be for sell. That shoe was never suppose to hit the public. And look what he current "sneaker community," did to that shoe.

Are you talking about actual OG XIII's?
Because they go for upwards of $450-500. Nothing at that price should be considered "sitting"
As for 2013 White/Black XIII's they didn't sit either and now go for around $300+

But in any case, I feel like true sneaker heads who liked the XIII and still needed them in their collection did cop the 2013's
The fact that hypebeasts weren't tuned in to recent OG colorway XIII's and XIV's is a different thing altogether
And frankly, life would be a lot better if more OG coloways were easy to cop

All the prices you quoted are upwards prices and Flightclub premium pricing. I see both models go for way cheaper on a daily basis. The point of my post is that the whole remastering thing is an attempt to answer or pacify the whole true to form "OG" outcry that has become the norm. Truth is I like retros better at this point and that coming from someone who starting wearing Jordans when the 3's where first released. I enjoy the OG colorways and some of the newer colorways but most importantly I love the cuts and shapes and the scaled back tongues.

JB isn't even waiting until 2015 and all the remastered retros start dropping to raise the price on retros. They've already raised the price on the Legend Blue 11s to $200.

Or how about the 13's dropping the past couple months for $185-$200?

The shape and cuts on those laser 4's look pretty good... bout time they put a good effort forth... but of course they had to cover it with laser prints!

Ya I saw that on sneakernews earlier.  They're alright I guess.. but now my collection is going to have boxes that don't match lol

I hear yeah, but it's the nature of the beast when you've been collecting long enough

Looks nice

I prefer the removable separate piece style box tho :\

Funny that they would go away from the old-school look for the "return" to older quality

That cardboard used on the box sure does look like JB has put more attention to detail and quality

I thought them going back to OG boxes was cool, they shoulda just added a emblem or seal on the OGs. They look pretty plain to me if that's going to be used for all of em now..

og boxes were thicker and sturdier, too expensive for JB's today standards...
