I have trouble trying to recolor a shoe and keeping the texture at the same time. I tried using the paint bucket and color replacement tools but I end up with something like this.

are you using photoshop? firstly good shoe to pick but you need to get the biggest highest resolution pic possible and never i repeat never use the paint bucket,it just wont work. last tip to color almost anything you to use multiply afterwards or adjust the opacity to see the texture.

thanx lifeofadon if you want to be good it will just take practice. it took me a good while to get where im at and lastly you will want to make a template once and i have it for a lifetime instead of redoing every shoe every time you want to color it. you just make layers of every part of the shoe and save it a psd file.
