JAMES BOND movie thread: RIP Sir Sean Connery - NO TIME TO DIE 10/08/21

Eh, that moneys gon' be guaranteed no matter what I would assume.

I mean they're going to keep cranking out Bond films no matter what because it's a cash cow for Sony and it's probably going to be after those two films before WB or another studio has a chance to take the franchise away from Sony so i'd definitely just do it.

But hey, that's me...

He'll probably take the deal but not want to shoot the movies back to back.

Is Christopher Nolan Directing the Next James Bond Film?

James Bond 25 Reportedly Being Produced by Christopher Nolan’s Syncopy

A new report claims writer-director Christopher Nolan’s Syncopy is the production company for Bond 25. After Nolan reinvigorated the superhero franchise with Batman Begins in 2005 and the film’s first sequel, The Dark Knight, became a worldwide blockbuster in 2008, it basically gave the filmmaker the clout in Hollywood to make any film he wanted. As a result, fans have been treated to brilliant explorations of the mind with Inception, and the boundaries of space and time with Interstellar.

In the middle of making new films and promoting them, Nolan has made no secret in the past that he’s wanted to direct a James Bond film. And if a new listing on IMDb Pro is accurate, the filmmaker may be one step closer to making it happen. According to a tweet from Birth.Movies.Death editor-at-large Phil Noble Jr., IMDb Pro lists Syncopy as the production company for Bond 25. And while Noble first viewed the listing as “nonsense,” a little digging by James Bond fan account @Bond25film suggested otherwise. The account says it contacted IMDb Pro verify the listing’s authenticity, and the company said the listing was accurate. Here are the tweets:

It appears that the rumours about SYNCOPY are true. IMDb has confirmed that #Bond25 is correctly listed under Nolan's production company.

combo breaker. nolan the young goat.

that splinter cell joint might be fire too though :wow:

Nolan can't film a fight scene to save his life.

Please let the Casino Royale coordinator do it.

Or at least be a writer or co-writer.

The "I am the author of all your pain" stuff was so dumb in spectre.

Lets not pretend like Nolan's screenplays dont also have a bunch of cheesylines and extremely on the nose exposition

fun fact tho: Nolan's current cinematographer, Hoyte van Hoytema, also worked on Spectre, but I would love to see him colllab with Wally Pfister (TDK, Inception) again if really does end up directing.

I posted that line not for the cheese but because they made him the lazy connection between all the Craig "Bond" films. It was sloppy and unnecessary.

This.  The writing for the entire Spectre film wasn't very good. They should have put more thought into how to tie in Waltz's character  to the entire Craig films.  I feel like they really wasted his acting.  Didn't they have to go back to the drawing  board because the original script and ending was so bad?

Anyways,  if this news about Nolan is true, i'm freaking stoked.

Leo as Bond? No thanks. This is coming from a huge Leo fan btw.

im here for Chris Nolan anything though

Honestly it doesn't matter to me who is Bond

It'd be cool if Nolan is involved though.

Spectre is still one of the biggest let downs I've seen in theaters in a while. My hype levels were crazy after seeing Skyfall and the trailer for the new one. :frown:

I really wish they came to Daniel Craig earlier to play Bond, would've liked 4 more films from him as the character. I just hope they don't start off great like they did with Casino Royale only to give us Spectre again.

I've been saying they should have movies of other 00 agents.

For Craig's last movie please make it as good as Casion Royale or don't make it at all.

It'd be great to get a pre money penny solo movie that takes place before skyfall, since she opened the movies action sequence and was a field agent.
I'd like to think she had a mean sniper game before she shot Bond

Maybe a great way to show of some Q gadgets also, since the ball was completely and utterly disrespectfully dropped in Spectre with that car scene and the chase scene on foot :smh:

Bet this is how they try to get Idris in the Bond universe, without having to call him Bond
