Yes. And that is the point.
After spending a fortune on themselves. Buying any and everything from cars to boats to homes, and planes. Establishing multi billion dollars corporations, that maintain the cashflow for generations to come. Indulging in the lavish lifestyle. Spending all the unnecessary money on unnecessary things. And doing all the things that only those, with exorbitant amounts of money can do. But even after experiencing all of those things, they still say that they feel the most satisfied when helping others.

Oprah, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett. They all say the same thing.

Think about it. Oprah has her favorite things episodes and gives the audience all of those things.
If you've ever watched, Oprah is just as or more excited than the audience members. Why is she excited? She's the one giving the stuff away.

While everyone in the audience is falling out, and crying tears of joy, because Oprah just gave them a car, and a couple thousand dollars worth of other things;
Oprah is just excited to see all of their reactions, and all of their excitement.

And just because Oprah has enough pull to do it doesnt mean she has to. I dont care how many sponsers send her free merchandise to give away.
If she doesnt want to do it, it wont happen. Then why does she do it?
It's not for ratings or money. The very reason that she is able to get free stuff from vendors is becuase she has the ratings and money. So that is not the answer.
She does it becuase she likes how it makes her feel.
