This is how it hurts us... In my opinion. Calling this behavior "courageous" means that it is ok for transgendered people to get into relationships and not be forthcoming. This, in turn, could lead to violence when people find out. Also, perverts could use this to expose themselves in bathrooms of the opposite sex under the guise of "In my soul I feel like the opposite sex." I guess I'm not just looking at it on the surface and the deeper implications

I think you are missing the point. By him coming out and talking about this in the national spotlight he is bringing attention to the issue and in turn forcing people to discuss it. when people are more comfortable with the idea of transgender, through knowledge, listening and discussion, then it hopefully wont be something that people do not try and hide. It's soooo taboo now how can you blame anyone for keeping it a secret? Through understanding we can show people that they do not have to keep these feelings secret.

I'm not sure what your pervert point is though. If someone exposes them self to someone then it's still illegal. You think anything would be different whether it was a transgender or nontransgender exposing themselves?

I asked this earlier. Of course nobody had an answer.

I mentioned that it will take WOMEN to become infuriated with the issue until something is done about it. But we can't just have folks going into any bathroom freely simply because they "feel" a certain way.

Largely in part because I fear the violence that could happen as a result of people being deceived and the very foreseeable possibility of perverts capitalizing on the general acceptance.
