It basically means we're waiting to offer him a new deal so that we can get another superstar first, then tailor his contract to fit the team needs. If we get a star first, then we can go over the limit to resign Parsons without consequence because we have his Bird rights

I doubt Lebron or Lebron & Melo will be in Rockets unis, but just picturing that...keep Lin, add Wade and CP3 and this is hands down the most hated team in the league

Realistically, it's Melo, Bosh, or Love + some second tier type guy. Someone in the vain of Paul Milsap, Tyreke Evans, etc.

I wish the NBA was like the NFL where you could restructure contracts. Would cut Asik's to like 3 mil and keep him . What other backup centers would we be looking out though once Asik is eventually dealt? ........Oden ? And actually give him decent playing time?
