we're adding >30k cases and >2k deaths per day. roughly following Italy's trend, we should see those numbers trend down towards 15k-20k cases and ~1k deaths per day by early May. that's assuming we maintain stay-at-home orders.

it's probably too late, but I would love if we could standardize how countries count a death due to rona. It's tough to compare numbers between countries when they are counting deaths & confirmed cases differently. Also, am I the only one who is interested in seeing the net deaths that rona actually contributed?
For instance, we are only looking at the death count, but we leave out deaths such as ones caused by not being able to be saved due to the limited capacity of the hospital and lives saved (fewer car accidents, fewer homicides, more healthy life choices, etc.)

Those are all interesting questions but it will take a while to get it all sorted out.

I'm curious to see 10-20 years out if we see any bumps in chronic diseases, either up or down, that arise in 2020.

Was just at a local Asian supermarket
Looks like you can’t shop without a mask
I believe I saw them provide masks and gloves to some customers who weren’t wearing any after they walked in
There is a guy checking all customers
I’m not sure if it’s mandatory but there was a little station with hand sanitizer,gloves and masks free for customers

Figuring all Asian supermarkets been doing the mask check and numbers count for some time. Said before, personally would like to see places also do the Temp Check. Noninvasive and takes little time.
Just got out of nearby ups store. Store counter girls have mask, plastic partition and observe distance. But older white couple, middle aged Latino couple (husband had mask, wife didn’t), young black dude and middle aged Asian man with no masks.
What in the Hell, people.
