I don’t think we’ll ever have another administration as inept as Trump and Co. Dude threw away the pandemic playbook that was GIVEN to him. Amongst many many many many other awful mistakes and purposeful ignorance. I don’t think it’s plausible to have Things line up with having a once in a lifetime inept presidency mixed with a once in a lifetime pandemic. I guess I just HOPE that’s the case.....

The Goverment should give everyone a monthly pay until March and then see where we are all at. Kamala Harris’ 2,000 a month proposal would work. And of course hazard pay.

Would love it both me and my wife are both essential workers. They won’t give a dime tho, our government has 47% of the country convinced that any help is socialism and that it’s an honor to pay taxes and never get anything in return but a red hat and conspiracy theories.

just witnessed a maga man who was trying to be a tough guy at our children's hospital
he already had his own mask on but when security tried to give him a procedural mask to enter the hospital he said no. security said she couldn't let him in if he didn't wear the mask. he could even put it on over his mask but he refused and went home.

are at filming and taking photos at packed venues.

Is that just the protocol to make visitors wear a procedural mask regardless of what mask they come in wearing? Probably better than trying to make security have to determine which masks are acceptable or not.

From moral and ethic stand point as medical professional, they have to treat such people, unfortunately. I remember seeing images of medical professionals being confronted by maga supporters. Imagine if the same protesters were the ones that being treated by the medical staffs.

Blake P I believe hospital has strict rules in terms of visitor. I am not surprised if they need to enforce all visitors to comply for safety of other patients and visitors.

yes. you can't trust anyones mask. they could have a N-95 mask but we don't know if its been properly stored and taken care of. no way to know what condition it's in

yeah hospitals can't pick and choose which patients to treat. that's morally and ethically wrong but that's what makes everything so frustrating now.

I usually try to spend a little time with my patients after I'm done doing whatever I'm doing and chat with them for a bit, but I had a MAGA boomer the other day tell me about how she refuses to go back to work ever since they started mandating their employees wear mask, stating "I don't understand how anyone could wear that thing all day long."

I just said "I think you're telling this to the wrong person" and walked out of the room.

The mask really is not a big deal, and it's not like I have it on all day like healthcare workers, just brief moments when out and about. The office is spaced out and not required at your desk, and not wearing at home. They act like it's prison rape for your face.
