Thanos looks awesome in GOTG. At the avengers teaser he looked pretty weak so I had my doubts. All that is gone

My only complaint (not even that major) is yet again another marvel place holder bad guy. Ronin had back story so it kinda saves him but for the most part he was non existent development wise.

Marvel has a problem with villains. The best has been Loki. But I think Ultron is going to be great.

Nebula also. They couldve gone into her childhood with gamora and her background. Also another slow 3rd act.
Thor is somewhat part of the cosmic universe. I have always considered Thor cosmic. Asguardians went to the collector at the the end of Thor 2. Thats like askin why are they teasing guardians in Thor?
But like dude said he was a part of that chain of cosmic events from when AnL were writing.

I'd consider Thor a cosmic as well. They're aliens who were worshipped by the Nordic peoples.

She got away, but yah... pretty much. It was 15mins shorter than TWS. 15 mins would have made this a much better film. Still one of the best. Cap 2 is still favorite. IM1, Avengers, and this are on the same level more or less.

The deleted scenes can make or break how a character is fleshed out. Like ASM2, GOTG suffers from it in regards to Nebula.

I will agree that the villains were under-fleshed, but I don't think it takes away from the movie
I think Gunn just wanted us to get to know the heroes and keep the story moving
