Guardians of the Galaxy (Film) - 8/1/14 - Starring Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Benic

Good but not best Marvel movie. That goes to Cap 2. Groot low key stole the show. The moments with his mother were very touching.

What do you mean by stand alone? It's still in the same universe and Antman is pretty much guaranteed to be in Avengers 3 so why wouldn't it kick-off phase 3 releasing right after AoU?
How is he guranteed when we don't know anything. And I mean standalone in the sense that it's not connect to anything else.

:o

btw, did anyone catch all the captives in the scene with the collector?

Was the one in the black armor one of the dark elves from thor 2?

So they have showed 3 Infinity Stones so far in all the movies right?

They confirmed that the Skrulls are shared rights with Fox but they didnt say why they are not using them yet. Also Chitauri are ultimate universe skrulls. I think they can shape shift as well. Keep that in mind.

Badoon is entirely fox tho
How are the Badoon entirely FOX?

The Badoon don't even be in X-Men comics or Fantastic Four. You must mean the Shi'Ar or the Brood.

That's what I thought. There was also what looked like a Chitauri to me.

Still understand why they didnt have any skrulls. According to Gunn they have partial rights to them

maybe im reaching, but what if at the end of AoU they show that the chitauri scepter is the mind gem.

^pretty sure the mind gem is on the scepter since they showed it again on the post credit scene in cap 2. If so, then 4 down, 2 to go. I'm still confused on which stone is the power gem, the orb or the aether? Tessaract is deff the space gem.

I think the Orb is the power gem and the Aether is either time or reality (bring the universe back to darkness could be interpreted either way).

Something tells me we will see the Sould gem in Dr. Strange.

ive read somewhere that Adam Warlock could possess the soul gem.

True. Can't wait to hear who they have playing the sorcerer supreme.

This movie caught me off guard, I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. And they managed to make it funny without being overly campy

Im also wondering how they will have either party obtain all the gems and gauntlet and make it believable.

Because he is on Earth and that is the only reason GotG isn't connected. Plus he is a key member of the Avengers and it is pretty much what most wanted to see, hell people are already mad he isn't involved with Ultron.

I mean without you knowing anything, why would you suggest that Antman won't connect to anything? Why do you think they would make an Antman film and completely leave him out of the Avengers? That'll be like making a BP film and not putting him in the Avengers film.

Plus in the Antman teaser they showed at Comic-Con, Pym/Douglas said that "superheroes are a joke" so he obviously meant the members of the Avengers and that also means they all exist in the same universe. Having powers alone along with the others is a connection enough. Im sure we will also see lots of easter eggs in the Antman film that will connect it to the other heroes/villains.

Great movie, and my favorite space epic thus far. I love that films are at a place where can get away with something this bold. What's next, regular leading black actors?

As much as I dug cap 2, this is probably the best just off the scale of it. They created that world well.

I agree with being my favorite space epic so far as well. Regular leading black actors? They can only be so many movies about slaves, drug dealers, and house maids a year. Aint finna happen.

I want to go there with you, trust me I do, but I'm gonna stay on the GOTG track. :lol
