Nah, not anymore. Mazda got tired of Ford getting all the fame with the first generation Fusion when the Mazda6 and especially the Mazdaspeed6 were better. Butreally though, Ford needed cash two years ago and sold most of their Mazda stocks back.

Ford still owns part of Mazda, but they sold 20% of their stake during the economic meltdown...so they lost all controlling interest. So, yes, Ford does ownMazda...albeit a small part, but they're not the controlling party anymore.
