I know Amami when i see it. The nigiri at this place is aite, the best part is definitely their fresh grated wasabi.

yeah the fresh wasabi is nice
have u been to Hinata???

Nah, I haven't. That's actually been on my list for a while. I'll probably hit it up before the end of the year.

Omakase/Nigiri spots i like in the city are Wako, Akiko's, and Daigo

Sushi Sam's in San Mateo is good too. Decently priced and they go a little heavier on the seasoning for their nigiri. It's where I usually take friends when they wanna go from rolls to trying out omakases.

yea I usually hit a buffet up when im in Vegas. not too many good options in northern NJ doe lol

I used to work by a spot that had an unlimited Indian food buffet on Tuesdays. Boy would I pay for it on Wednesdays.
There’s this Indian spot by me that has an amazing affordable lunch buffet special. I can go there everyday. Best Indian food I’ve ever had.

I am super paranoid about buffets. I refused to eat at them besides imo the food usually lacks quality since it has to be cooked for the masses.

Thinking about making the turkey on Thanksgiving for the first time. Seems like a complicated process though.

not at all. How are you going to do it? deep fry? roast? bake?
I found this vid to be helpful last Thanksgiving when I did a turkey the week before when we did a Friendsgiving with the neighbors the weekend before.

I highly recommend getting a good meat thermometer. Also if you do a frozen turkey, read the label & make sure you leave enough time to completely thaw the turkey. I like doing fresh turkeys.

Also if you choose to do a bag for your turkey, I’ve found opening the bag for the last hour or so is optimum to get the skin done well but be sure to baste well at that point...

Also referred to this vid.

I shared this several pages back. I learned so much from this vid on how to properly carve rotisserie chickens & turkey... After carving 2-3 chickens, I knew what I was doing so by the time it came to carving a 25 lbs turkey, it was very easy to do.

Anxious to try this stuffing recipe..

Just make sure your turkey isn't lightskinned like most of the turkeys on the front of those magazines bu the checkout line

Maybe I never had good turkey but it easily is one of the most overrated foods on the table at thanksgiving. I’ll take that thanksgiving ham over turkey any day. Just gotta watch the sodium word to Jemele

Been eating a smoked turkey the last few years. Had one 3 years ago, haven't looked back since
