FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

A father on one of my son’s past football :emoji_soccer: teams tried to apply fo one of their franchises. It came down to that guy & 2 orher applicants but it ended up going to the dudes that were really religious. They do ext naive back round checks that include whether or not you regularly attend church & how involved you are with your church apparently.

But you have NO idea if the religious part was the only reason your man's father didn't get hired

CFA definitely prides themselves on their customer service/overall attitude. Everybody actually seems like they enjoy working there, which is pretty crazy.

No other fast food place is even close to them.

They actually pay them a decent wage as well.

He spoke about it & he said the winning applicant was very religious, supoortrdcall kind of religious causes, & super involved in their church. He said specifically that was understood to be the deciding factor with company officials.

Your man's father said this or the officials said this?

Yo on the topic of CFA employees, I saw this dude in a store still in uniform and someone asked him what section he grabbed the shirt from and he told them and said “my pleasure” after it. I was looking confused as hell.

This has been my jam lately.

It was implied. The officials said something to the effect the winning appplicants were more strongly in line with the corporate values than the other two applicant groups. After he was declined, he & his partners did a lil research & found out just how religious the winning applicants were (and that it came down to that).

Now this father is Catholic & is the financial officer of his church. He handles the accounting & such along with whatever charity they do. This appparently paled in comparison to what the wing applicants did.

Edit - it’s kind of a known fact that franchise owners have to be religious & “ involved” in their communities.

Has nothing to do with my views but I've never even been in a CFA.

I've ate the food a few times when someone was treating me but never just went on my own like yeah I want some CFA.

Doesnt help that there's a Poeyes, Island Burger, Applebee's, BBQ, and Footprints all in the area.

Chick Fil A is good but I tend to get sick of it real quickly & stop eating it for a while.

When I do get something my go tos are a spicey chicken biscuit for breakfast & for lunch either a chargrilled chicken club with a side salad or their Cobb salad. Not a true Cobb salad though.

Their fish sammich offered during lent is fire and their peach shake during the summer months is delicious.
