FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Why y’all NYers always gotta bring up and compare CA?.. 👀

We be lettin y’all vibe and this how y’all treat us
Lol nah I didn't even mean it as a comparison, y'know I got nothing but love for Cali & all you Californians. Wish to visit Cali in the near future. The reason I did say Cali in my statement is because I was watching the food network or some pizza show years ago & I kid you not a handful of pizza joint owners in Cali said they get their friends or family members to ship them NYC tap water by the boatload for their establishments for them to incorporate into their product(s). 1 or 2 of those owners may have previously lived in NYC so it probably had some to do with that too. I've noticed a lot of pizza places in Connecticut also say "it's in the water" for the success of their pizzas.

Oh absolutely! Which is why we have some of the best 🥯 & 🍕 around. I've read many pizza spots in Cali & other parts of the US where the owner imports NYC tap water to make their dough for the foods they serve. 100% in the water without a doubt.
Yeah they did couple stories regarding this.

Apparently New York tap water has a certain something that just can’t be replicated.

yeah mexican food in NY being almost level with CA is a wild *** statement
I know multiple Californian’s who have lived in NY for a time and the thing all of them complained about most was the lack of good Mexican food. Their words, not mine.

New Yorkers need to understand that Mexican spots in LA are like pizza shops in NY. There are certain neighborhoods in LA
where you can get bomb Mexican every few blocks.

The owner of a stall I frequent a ton at the Farmers market invited my family and I to his farm

Sugarcane !!!!!!! Dude was like yo how much can I charge for this? He didn’t know what he had on his hands. He juice it but didn’t realize people would but it in its original form.
