FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

I read a sample of David Chang’s new book Cooking at Home. It encourages people to try and cook without recipes. Kinda interesting.

He also created a new type of container which is meant for cooking with a microwave.

My local LIDL has had these black grapes for a good price recently - and they're one of the best things I've ever eaten. Currently I'm eating a large handful instead of chips at lunchtime which feels like a significant upgrade.

It’s a better snack than sweets but grapes don’t really have that much nutritional value outside of sugar so keep that in mind. But at least you do get some fiber.

the one by my office no one really wears masks anymore. Employees do. I feel like the odd man out when i step in there being the only one wearing a mask lol
It's about half/half where I am with masks v. no-masks, which makes it feel even more weird than everyone wearing masks. I'm still wearing one.

Maybe 5% of people still wear masks out by me, and I'm one of them.

I actually like wearing masks in public indoor spots. Haven't had as much as a cold since COVID started and I'd like to keep it that way.

Plus it lowers the chances of someone recognizing me when I'm out doing something. I'm not trying to stop-and-chat with anyone on my days off.
