PF Chang. 2 types of ribs, Mongolian Beef, and pan fried dumplings.

Had a series of unfortunate events in the kitchens today. First, I went to plug my crockpot in and it almost caused an electrical fire. The sparks blew the cord right off of the crockpot. I wanted to Cooked steak in the crockpot but I had to switch it up and do the stovetop/oven method. Overcooked the steak smh. I used a meat thermometer but the cast iron pan cooked it from the bottom. Flavors were there though.

That's crazy as hell man. Glad you are OK 1stwitit 1stwitit

But what were you trying to make in the crockpot with steaks?

No disrespect.
Nah, I don’t take it as disrespect. There are certain cuts of steak that have very little fat that just don’t satisfy me like a fattier cut would when grilling or pan searing. I use cuts like this like a roast, season and pan sear it like normal then let it go in the crockpot.

You know what I find intimidating I’ve never done. Make a steak on the stovetop. Anytime I make it is on the grill
Virtually no real difference.

You can simulate the experience very well by putting a cast iron pan straight on the grill, which is my preferred way of making a steak. Cooking it inside only serves to smoke up the entire kitchen and splatter grease everywhere. Wouldn't recommend.
