FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Cross cut them and just fry in oil . There's no secret to it really. Which is why it's upsetting when spots only give you two or are expensive.
why do u crosscut???
specific reason???
also
i see some half fry
take out and smash
then continue the frying process

You don't have to do it like that. That just usually how they're served. You can cut them into strips if you want

The half fried then smashed versions are tostones I believe. And those are unripe plantains. They won't be sweet at all.

^ I'm the opposite, I'll take Pho over ramen.

Let's be honest, I wouldn't say no to either though!

got some plantains
post pics later
not sure if theyre ripe enough
went to safeway
they didnt have a lot
so i tried to get the oldest looking one
but again wasnt too many
i want the sweet taste
ill post em up later when i get home

Check the ramen.

Yeah, looks like it. Should wait a day or so for them to get fully yellow.

Keep in mind they'll be sweet but also easier to fall a part.

You want them as close to this as possible to get them as sweet as possible

th
Them joints falling a part instantly  Gonna have to cut them thick.

But yes, this'll be the most sweet.
