Quite a few options but

Nigels good food is pretty good.
Soul food
Try the geechi wings and pecan pie.
They have several options for mains
Might be a line.

In the tanger outlet there is a place called the Jerusalem bakery.
Hidden gem. Real small
Great food. Gyros, fillaffel etc

Also in North Charleston there is an Asian grocery store called H & L.
big place. Alotta cool stuff
They also serve food there but it will be packed at lunch on a saturday.

I wouldn't even call "& Pizza" ....... PIZZA. I call it "& Flatbread."

What are you trying to eat though? Go to Bus Boys and Poets, probably my favorite spot
That's a fact, straight flatbread with sauce. Smh.

I'm staying about four blocks from Bus Boys and Poets.

Just a spot with some original entrees that's not "chainy food", and preferaby with chicken or fish.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The kaiseki restaurant from the female chef right? She was on Chefs Table lol

Where do you see it ranked top 5 in the world :nerd:

typo lol i thought it was on the world's top 50 but it wasnt

that show piqued my interest on it... had to get these seats 3 months ago

No disrespect, where are you staying?

What are you planning to do while in DC?

My go to moves @ Bus Boys
1. Lamb Burger
2. BLACKENED Salmon ( @Bend_The_Knee )
3. SHrimp and Grits ( Substitite the regular grits for the CRAB grits )

SC kid SC kid Staying around Hedgewood Street

I want some Baluts, let me know where I can go!

The places I mentioned up there
Berthas too. It's a well known soul food spot.

Whatever's closest

If u want balut u have to cook it and the only place that sells it is the Saigon supermarket in North Charleston.
U would have to call to see if they have it.
No one sells it ready to eat.

I eat with my so.
She's pescatarian.
All the meat I post I eat

There was leftover pizza.

^^^ Depends on the toppings to some extent, but I generally max out with 3-4 pieces of a large pizza these days, especially if I’m having a salad or something with it. If it’s just cheese, I can take down up to 5 slices, maybe.

But in my younger, college days I could eat a whole pizza myself.

Yeah I did it once. Was from RoundTable. Only time I went to RoundTable since they're not everywhere

I can eat a whole pizza by myself, but not them thick cut slices or one with a bunch of toppings.

Comparison Ford Comparison Ford could learn a thing or two from SC kid SC kid about persevering through those tough meals
Man my days of taking a whole pie to the dome ended after senior year/the days where I smoked my brain into semi-functioning mashed potatoes. Age caught up with me and acid reflux is no joke these days.

Can't be muscling through a meal just to prove a point anymore. Fortunately it's for the best. I basically can't overeat without feeling the consequences at this point.
