saw this on Reddit. The scale might not be 1 to 1 but it’s close. The Ferrari is wider but also shorter. It will be interesting to see which philosophy is faster.

Slimmer is more aerodynamic. Look at airplanes for example. Stealth planes are usually wide to avoid radar detection

You guys know I don’t much about this Sport, no matter how much my pops tried to get me into it as a kid..

But ALL of these cars look amazing. I never thought F1 cars looked that good before.

Every generational or rule-change is always fascinating.
We had the clean, classic look from the 80s-90s.
We had the extreme designs of the 2000s with all the winglets and aero parts.
We had the giant front-wings of the 2010s... up to this point.

But one thing that really puts all these rule changes into perspective is how GIANT this gen is. 2005 vs 2020.

Seems like excessive waste. They should just put them in a hotel.
It does.

I think it depends on the team/driver. I guess some drivers prefer to stay close to the track. F1 did a vid a few years back on preseason testing where they followed Daniel around... and he was staying at a hotel.
