the last song jamal performed wasnt different. it was the same lyrics over a more musical beat.  and they did try to cram too much into 2 hours. jamal went from 0-savage in 1 minute flat. he went from "dad you always do this. everytime we have a deal u add something to it" to holding dude over the edge of a building for a signature. what?

hakeem wasn't really smashing they set lucious up. altho if they got married it wouldve legit been a stepson and stepmom affair. 

andre is too hotheaded. dude legit came over just to talk and andre couldn't just listen for a few seconds. 

lucious gets arrested and his only line is "gametime b***es" when it happens? eww

and the 5 minute full confession? that was the first time in this series i was taken out of the show by such poor writing. they couldn't have come up with a better way for cookie to find out than that? dude was in a drug-induced sleep, then sits up and starts bragging and explaining how he killed bunky in detail? excuse me?

To me the finale was too much too soon. They could have easily broken those 2 episodes up into 4 more episodes. It looked like they tried to take too many arcs and cram them into 2 hours.

That was an entire season's worth of material crammed into 2 hours. I can't wait until season 2!

That goes back to the different directors for different shows I am thinking. That last one was done by Debbie Allen....let's just hope that she either changes from this one she did, or she doesn't direct another Empire episode

I think the show is ok. I def like it but I am not super sold. The finale was good though

Malcolm and Hakeem are the WACKEST actors

I just can't deal with them

And some of the singing/music scenes are painful to watch IMO

It is exciting to see an all black (mostly) show though

What's so hard to figure out? Andre is a douchebag and Hakeem is a spoiled brat. By process of elimination, that leaves Jamal to be the besf fit.

My personal take on the finale was that they tried to rap up some story lines to make way for new ones.

- Vernon's disappearance will be the murder of the season.

- Michelle (Jennifer Hudson) and her rise to fame x Andre x Rhonda will be an interesting dynamic

- Now that Cookie knows Lucious killed Bunky, whats next? Will Carrol's killas come up again?

- Lola will probably be in at least 1/2 the episodes of season 2 now that we know Lucious is the father

- Anika may actually start to like Hakeem x Hakeem trying to find Camila love triangle

- Jamal faces challenges as the new head of the company

- Hostile take over goes wrong when Tricky McInvestor decides to take Empire for himself instead of helping Cookie/Andre/Hakeem

- Malcolm comes back to save Cookie cuz he DC job is powerful like that

All I got for right now.
