Fun fact: Under the previous ownership’s verification system, verified accounts were going for initially $2-3k and gradually up to $15k, also dependant on what username was attached to it.
The verified accounts were of course either jacked from random people or part of a bribery scheme with an inside man at Twitter taking bribes for handing out verifications.
