Elon Musk trying to buy Twitter (edit: deal has been finalized)

I'm pretty sure you can't retweet people who have their profiles locked or if they have it turned off.

"(the retweet function is disabled for the tweet as well) "

Makes it seem like it was something on twitter's end though.

Guy keeps getting impersonated lol

Like I said months ago, Elon Musk is a normal rent-seeking economic actor

There is no secret sauce of unique ability.

Sure he has picked good niches in the past, I'll give him credit, but Twitter is a different beast.

But much of Musk's success is mostly based on overworking highly talented people and government largesse

Maybe Twitter will hit on an idea to make them a ton of money, but this situation should really disabuse people that deluded themselves about how much of a genius Musk is.

So much for "comedy is now legal on Twitter"

Coming soon: Every joke tweet must be labelled with "joke" flair

I hate that twitter tells you something has been deleted/suspended but won't actually let you see it.

Wondering if he'll try to sell in a few years and just eat whatever the loss is.

I imagine he'd try to make Twitter more valuable before doing so, but I don't see it. So many companies have already pulled out.

Entertaining. Not sure of what the cost will end up being but this is Entertaining. I wonder what his end game is.
