Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Can’t really get back down with the wider leg pants.

Got a pair of Faherty’s stretch terry pants recently that say they have a slim leg but I don’t agree at all. Ended up getting them taken in an inch and a half or so.

Those are pretty perfect to me with that alteration. Need to get a couple more pairs.

Yeah I’m not hopping on any trends. I remember how goofy it was to see older folks trying too hard.

Cropped shirts is wild. cats out here trying to show midriff.

wearing skinny pants in 2025 is crazy.

I don’t like those oversized baggy/boxy pants either.

Best is something in between that fits perfectly

I can't do baggy jeans personally. Looks too forced.

I'll wear loose t shirts, cargos, shirts etc.

Boxy and crop fit **** is out of the question though.

I wear slim cut pants because I like the fitted look. Since I've been working out consistently my legs have been getting bigger and I might have to move up to regular cut to get more room for the legs but no way am I going back to baggy jeans. I left them in the early 2000s and I'm never going back.

Yeah if you lift forreal and you probably aren’t slim so you shouldn’t be wearing slim clothing. I always look at dudes crazy who start lifting and they start buying smaller clothes.

Feel like there’s definitely a big difference between dudes wearing “skinny” and then slim/fitted.

Cant do with the current oversized/boxy trends.

Especially this new trend with cropped shirts. Not a fan.
I just want denim and chinos that are straight fit with a slight taper. Along with tees that aren't oversized.

I feel like my options are limited these days.

The cropped shirts is fire depending on how you put it together and if you're fit. Throw in some bootcut jeans and some cowboy boots and you in there. It's oversaturated now though so I don't see myself pulling any of my old cropped vintage champion jerseys out this year. Probably going to sell them all now.

Been on more baggy stuff lately. Old Fubu, Bape, Billionaire Boys Club, throwback jerseys.

Might even break out the headbands off court this summer.

I haven't been lifting crazy, but I have been just working out to gain a bit more muscle mass. Since I had some skinny legs I was ok with slim cuts to not look baggy but I'm finally in the spot where slim cuts are starting to get a bit too skinny on me.

On the subject of pants, I started getting these slacks for the office. Not the best cut but they're the most comfortable slacks I've found. Super stretch and nice fabric. Been switching all my slacks for these.

IMO, think that looks good on certain body types. But as long as people are comfortable with it, that's all good.

My dad bod cannot get down with cropped shirts lol.

For sure. Biggest part of the battle is figuring out what works for your body type and getting the proportions right.

That's why when swole dudes skip leg day and wear tight pants they look like Johnny Bravo clones.

Not sure about chinos but everyone is doing straight/classic/regular fit denim now. And if you want a slight taper, just take them to a tailor and get em perfect for your liking.

Yeah, that's what I've had to do with a couple of pairs of chinos. May have to continue to do so.

Subscribed for the chino talk. Need some navy jawns in a light fabric for office summer Fridays.

These are thinner than the slacks I posted earlier. Still flex fit Tommy Hilfiger so they’re super comfortable but the chinos definitely work better for hot days. I have one pair of black chinos and they’re nice.

Any reccs for short sleeve button ups where the arm sleeves are tight?

Something like these, but not cardigan/sweater material
