Dressing Better Vol 2.0

I'm doing a road trip from NYC to Toronto in about two weeks. Any sights to see and places to eat along the way or in TO?

Toronto is going through a taco craze right now. Definitely check out Grand Electric or La Carnita. Both are done well with Grand Electric more better.

Depending on who you are going with, its a nice roll with the lady in the Distillery District. More so restaurants with old railway deco in the area and a few boutiques. Definitely hit up Yorkville during the day.

If you plan to watch the jays, head ro the Steamwhistle brewery next door to the stadium for a pre-drink.

King Street West / Portland has the TIFF lightbox and a few good eating spots like Westlodge. Its also the upscale scene at night. Think our version of Meatpacking.

If you want gritty, more laid back: do queen street west during the day for shopping and bar scene at night. I recommend Bar Chef, Beaconsfield, or the Drake along queen west. Or you can do Ossington street which is similar to Queen West. Both are easy to bar hop.

Feel free to send me a PM and I'll try to help you out. Or check the Canada section. Also check out blogTO.com, 1LoveTO.com, inqmnd.com for some good info.

Places to check out similar to this thread: Uncle Otis, Haven, Nomad, Holt Renfrew, the Bay,Harry Rosen. And I'd recommend Yorkdale Mall over the Eaton Center.

bLaZ3n: the main reason I got it is because I sent back a pair of Fly Wade 2s that ripped at the toe box. Bought the shoes for $80 and they sent back a voucher for $145 so I figured why not.

Sounds like you will be taking advantage of it though based on your exercise plans.

Go to the Uniqlo in SoHo and checkout the street vendors near Great Jones (which is near Michael Andrews Bespoke), you can find nice little accessories for a few bucks there. You'll also be near SuitSupply and if you are interested you should check it out; it really is a no-pressure sales approach so don't stress it too much if you're not looking to buy. All these things are within a 5-10 minute walk.
Thanks Serg! Definitely gonna hit up those places man. Repped :pimp:

I'd go for those Air Aidens...

I mean look at them.

Nordstrom really needs a new photographer. I'll invest money into a campaign for them to hire Steezy.
Haha, glad y'all like my iPhone pic

I do like the look of those in his photo. Look like a completely different shade than the stock photo lol
Actually, it is a completely different shade. Allow me to elaborate. Although Nordstrom's pics are already misleading (being that the stock version is darker) I also added AE Walnut polish to my loafers. This darkened the shoe a little more which I believe gives them a richer hue. Dat shoe shine lyfe :pimp:

Leaving for Vegas Saturday and idk what to pack. I feel like I am going to overpack. I am there for 4 days, 3 nights. I know carlin was there recently, I'm interested in how you packed for the trip. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply. It'll be a bro trip, young professionals trying to relive college days lol. Three things we'll looking to do are food, nature and bar. With some culture like catching a show.

Pinoy thanks for clearing that up. I would've been quite surprised to open up the box and them not look similar. I will most likely be copping those soon, good look. I also seen your youtube vid, will be using that whenever I need to polish my dress shoes

No doubt fam. Glad I could help.

Quick question for the DB bros, are grey slim chinos and v-neck sweaters considered business casual?

In Houston business causal is a suit attire minus the jacket.

Shirt, tie, slacks and dress shoes.

Tie with no jacket looks weird imo.
Business casual for me = dress shirt w/ top button unbuttoned, dress pants, and dress shoes
Really? I completely disagree that it looks weird but business casual can go either way in terms of tie or no tie, it depends on the setting.

i think a jacket with no tie looks better than a shirt and tie with no jacket

This. I think a tie with no jacket has the potential to look good but most people look like mall kiosk cell phone salesman when they do it.

There's a stripclub that my brother and his friends always went to up there . Right next to a casino.

Just checked that it's going to be in the 80's but drop to the 60s in the evening, so if it were me I'd pack the following:
1. Dark Jeans
2. 3 short sleeve dress shirts (versatile such as white, white/blue striped. light gray)
3. 2 long sleeve dress shirts (for night/clubbin')-white and light blue
4. Navy trousers
5. Gray trousers
6. Swim trunks
7. A couple of t-shirts
8. Brown dress shoes
9. Versatile sneakers
