Dressing Better Vol 2.0

in regards to my last post. jeans i always go shrink to fit 501 levis ... but i dont like the way the fall onto my shoes. anyother levis i should look into with the tapered look of the above post?

size up one with 511s or go with the 508s or 513s. I just bought a pair of 508s and wore them for the first time the other day. This is how the fit is... I would imagine it's what you're looking for.

We did a NT appreciation day due to the overwhelming support that KSteezy received to win the TSB contest.

We all wore Nikes.

I really want a pair of those Gucci horsebit loafers....but you see the way my bank account is set up.....

JCP's shirts are notorious for running a bit on the bigger side. Worse case order both and have them shipped to your local store (as it gets you free shipping with no minimum) and return the one doesn't fit. I think dappered.com had a bit on the specific shirts you're referring too and I think Joe might have mentioned sizing in the review. I'll look for it and post it if I find it.

Edit: So not exactly the same shirt but pretty much it's stated to try a size down on most shirts, especially if not intended to be worn with a tie.
http://dappered.com/2013/01/the-visual-argument-for-trying-a-size-down/

The fit of the JCPs from the winter season and Wooster line are on par with the slim fits from Gap, Merona, Jcrew ect imho. From the side by side comparisons of how close they fit in the torso and how wide the sleeves are, I can say that much is the case regarding shirts in size small.

By the way, there is a Claiborne version of that JCP polka dot with a hidden placket in the same price point. Not sure if it was a spread or button down version though.

Dang, I love my green ones...

On a serious note, how many of you guys feel you have a shopping addiction?  Ksteezy I know you do with JCrew.  I actually realized it today.  All jokes to aside...how are some of you guys able to maintain yourself with control?  I pay my bills and my daughter is well taken care of, however, I really could do more with my money...than shoes and clothes. :lol

I am still in the midst of a 6 month shopping break. It's been hard n I won't lie I've still gotten some stuff but I've done a great job saying no and having restraint... Started saving late December already up 2k more than I usually would be...

Good looks on that camo pants link from Asos I did cop (despite the break)...

Looking to get a new suit soon. What do u all think about the Irish linen suits from jcrew I already own a worsted wool charcoal ludlow. I'm looking to get a nice navy summer suit

definitely want to order them but no free shipping code without a minimum is making want to hold off on them.

I know I do, but it's never ridiculous. I'm always trying to find a good deal so I make sure I hit up a couple of stores all the time, especially with the change in inventory, one being JCP, and usually I'll venture into H&M and other stores with men's clothing. I've found some amazing deals at JCP from $5 dress shirts to $5 wool flannel trousers. This weekend was a good example of this, wasn't planning on purchasing a thing but ventured to Gap and Express with my wife and found a pair of red go to hell pants for $15 at Express with the 50% off clearance and three trousers from Gap for $24 with tax.

LOL, man i feel yall.

I'm fresh out of college..8 months in the real world so far.

Talk about life changing. However, i was on that college budget for so long, that i still walk around with that mentality.

Even with a disposable income, i still go over expense in my head like i used to do in college. It's saved me from a lot of brash decisions so far.

Still a great feeling to know i can pull the trigger on some purchases however.

I still budget, budgeting is key regardless of whether you are a student or a professional.

I don't dislike linen but if I had to choose I'd go with a cotton suit. If it's something you want to just wear in the summer and spring make sure it is unlined so that it is breathable. If you want something to wear in summer, spring (the cool and warm days) and into early fall, go for a lined jacket.

I'm sure you've guys have noticed that I have not posted any thrift finds over the past few months. This is mainly because I'm at school without a car and can't really check my normal spots. However, I'd like to put the spotlight on my boy who has been thrifting with me since I started earlier this winter. He's just getting into the whole concept of dressing better and I'd say he's taking aspects from what I wear and even now browses on NT and recognizing a lot of your guys' names/faces (I've talked to him about the fambz). Just today he decided to hit up one of our favorite spots and found a few goodies and even hooked me up with an item I've been searching for for a minute. Here's a few pics of him/his thrifting finds so far:

Yves Saint Laurent Jacket (plans on taking in the waist) $7.50:

Burberry Jacket (took in waist) $15 find plus $50 alterations:

Windowpane waistcoat and brown leather belt $10 and $5

(fit is all green for Leprecon 2013 in Hoboken btw)

AE Park Avenues $3:

AE Chesters $15 sold for $60:

AE Macneils $8 sold for $40:

Finally, he picked this paisley tie up for me $7.50 and scooped the PS himself for $0.75:

There's a few other things he's picked up (i.e. various ties, one more waistcoat, shirts, etc.) but these are some of the pics I have available to me currently. Just wanted to give a shoutout to my boy Jeff. :hat
