Dressing Better Vol 2.0

I think i'm going to wear loud, bright shirts like Westbrook does when spring hits. I'm going to make an effort to wear more color during the warm seasons.

Maybe not 'dressing better' but does anybody know what shirt Russell Westbrook is wearing?

looks to be H&M. Saw one Wednesday.

You going to try to keep up this time, Steezy? :lol

Sure will!...blogger seems to have an easier and more pleasing interface than type pad :)

The blog will be very general though, pretty much a picture blog about everything...but I'll be posting my WDYWTs there, maybe I'll start featuring some of you guys and link ya from my blog :-)

With Dressing Better, comes better hair IMO.

What products are you all using on your hair? I hear shampooing daily isn't necessary/healthy?

I'll try and get a pic up of my hair later today, because I may want to try out a new style and wouldn't mind suggestions.

Use pomade, it doesn't make the hair hard like gel does. As TypeR said, American Fiber is a decent brand, they also have different types on how much hold you need and how much shine, I prefer matte myself, no shine. I use Kiehls creative creme wax or the molding paste. I'm pretty happy with it.

You use both, dude?

Yes, but not at the same time. Cream Wax is more like pomade and it is dry while the Molding Paste is like a stickier gel. Love both products.

Here are the pieces I was talking about a few days ago. Came back from the seamstress yesterday and I finally got a minute to put em up. What do you guys think? Anything else I should look into? Looking for some good critiques.

I use Gatsby Wax right now, but I think wax is too heavy for my hair. I'm looking for something more light and won't weigh my hair down by the end of the day.

Can anyone recommend a product that would achieve those results?

How many of ya have two different barbers/stylist?

I personally grew up going to a barbershop, so is just second nature to go every week for a shapeup, have had the sake barber for almost 10 years, but I also have a stylist I visit every 45 days or so, he's the one that actually cuts my hair...I'm actually plannin on going tomorrow, I'll have my wife take pictures of the cut I actually get and products I use and make a post on the blog for those interested, I've used a mix of creme and paste, but it adds too much weight to my hair ad makes it too greasy, so for some reason I get better results with plain Gel

Blink - it seems you can afford to slim the pants down some more through the leg an also the arms bro, you are a slim dude, take advantage of that.

Try a size down on the suit next time. Shoulders are too big. It's also difficult to get a good sense because you have a t shirt on but I'm pretty sure you can go down at least one size

I've had the same barber for nearly 10 years. Has done it all from a fade with a shape up, brook to a five on top with a shape up, designs, full Mohawk, faux hawk, to the side part I'm rocking now. I wouldn't go to anyone else ever. Also helps that he's one of my best friends too.

Blink, I suggest you go to express bro, pick up a cheap suit, won't run you more than 160$ if you catch a good sale and their photographer fit is pretty good OTR, take it to a tailor with a picture of how you want it to fit, invest 60-80 and for a little bit over 200$ you can end up with the blueprint for the more expensive suits.

I wish I could just cut my own hair but I'm too scared. I'm actually tired of this same ole haircut too, haven't seen a ton of options out there for black men that I like though

Thats a 42R. Biceps were feeling like they were in a vise.

I wish i can flourish effortlessly like you slim gods. Cant even take advantage of these suit sales yall be posting cuz i'm very weary that the joint probably wont make it up my arm. :(

Just a quick question....

As most of you guys seem to have a pretty extensive wardrobe, how often do you where the same articles of clothing?

Been cutting my own hair for 8 years now. Saves so much money. I was rocking a buzz cut for the longest time but I just started using scissors on top then fade 2-4 on the sides and back. Still perfecting the process but I've gotten much better over time. Basically went to a barber sparingly and studied how they cut my hair while I was sitting in the chair then replicated it at home.

If I was black, I'd probably rock with the Michael Easly fro
