Next cop is gonna be a TaT suit although the process is still a bit intimidating to me. I'm chill on sneakers for a while.

I've been in touch with them I just don't have a suit that fits well enough now to use as a base line for measurements. That uniqlo blazer and slim ludlows are the closest I have. Neither of which are a perfect fit.

Damb.

Why can't y'all just let me flourish doe :{
You can rock Lanvins and Margielas with me on the low, bro :hat

The Lanvin high tops on sale for $430 or so was the most I've ever paid for sneakers.

Quality is nice, but like most lux brands, def not worth msrp.

I don't even know how you cats can pay over retail for kicks, let alone anything :lol

Is anyone else almost off sneakers entirely? I've reached a point where it's Common Projects or bust (except for Flyknits if I'm at the gym). I can Balenciaga, Lanvin, SLP, etc for half off and still don't pull the trigger. Must be old age setting in.

edit: Wouldn't mind a pair of MMM mids though...

Nah, I still like to wear sneakers when i'm hanging out or running errands.

If i'm going out during the fall, winter, or spring season then i'll wear boots whenever I can. This summer all i've been wearing are sneakers.

You've been talking about MMM Mids for 1+ year now, just buy it, man.

Old age? But you're bickering about an early to mid 20 year old neighbor complaining about you being too loud in your house though :lol

Solid sale going on at Unionmade too and if anyone needs a leather baseball jacket to look at for the next 5 months, they've got an incredible navy Golden Bear for $450 in a Medium.  Ton of other stuff too, close to 1000 items.

lol i saw a worker at zara wearing that exact pair other day
He was probs wearing the H&M x MMM's
Those were so terrible.  Not that you could expect high quality but good lord, fake stitching made it that much worse.  Margiela name and styling aside, I couldn't believe people paid a few hundred dollars resale for those.

Hmm I got them and I got the real MMMs. Quality obviously isn't going to be the same but for $100 they cool to run errands.

Well, yeah for $100 it's one thing but paying like $300+ resale?  A friend got the red pair and even the gum sole was shiny, just didn't look right.  I like the silhouette and I do think they'd at least look better with actual stitching but I guess you're happy with yours so that's all that matters.  I like the Margiela mids FLYKNITLVR posted (I think I've posted about them in here a long time ago), never been a fan of GATs though.

I had ordered the Phillip Lim Target sneakers and I'd say they were fairly comparable but a lot cheaper.  Too bulky and an 11 fit like a 13.

I'd ordered a bunch of stuff from that and only kept a black/white colorblock pique t-shirt which I've only worn once.

flyknit has me 2nd guessing now but 99% sure it was the MMM thats why i did a double take when i saw the employee

It could be many things but it's sure as hell not old age or maturity.

Sneakers aren't for young folk.

Like some other people on this thread--I don't really understand luxury sneakers. Am I the only one who'd rather wear a pair of Asics on a lazy Summer afternoon?

Its the same concept as luxury shoes. Some people of means would rather wear cheap dress shoes while others wear luxury dress shoes.

Well, luxury dress shoes have some sort of higher quality with them and can last a very very long time. Not to mention--the leather, attention to detail, and hand stitching all factor into price. Purchasing a nice pair of luxury leather shoes is more so an investment.

What's the deal with luxury sneakers? Someone please enlighten me. I feel like with luxury shoes--they will stand the test of time and can be worn many years later from date of purchase. Luxury sneakers will be worn briefly for that time and fade away into the fashion abyss we call "fads". I really believe those ugly YSL psuedo Jordan 1's won't be worn commonly by people 50-60 years later (not the same shoe obviously). Now, let's take the AE Park Ave's for example. That shoe has been in production for almost 85+ years.

Anyone care to fancy a rebuttal?
