Anyone care to fancy a rebuttal?
Gucci, LV, and Versace may be lux brands but are nothing in comparison to makers like Gaziano & Girling, John Lobb, and Edward Green.Hank, I wouldn't consider AE park ave to be luxury dress shoes. I consider Gucci, LV, Versace, etc, to be luxury shoes. Which all cost about double the price of an AE.
This is a funny question from a guy who wears Versace ties.
If you were in the USA then I would sell them to you, man. I stopped international shipping since it's a pain.^ Waiting for you to list your pair on the 'bay
Well, luxury dress shoes have some sort of higher quality with them and can last a very very long time. Not to mention--the leather, attention to detail, and hand stitching all factor into price. Purchasing a nice pair of luxury leather shoes is more so an investment.
What's the deal with luxury sneakers? Someone please enlighten me. I feel like with luxury shoes--they will stand the test of time and can be worn many years later from date of purchase. Luxury sneakers will be worn briefly for that time and fade away into the fashion abyss we call "fads". I really believe those ugly YSL psuedo Jordan 1's won't be worn commonly by people 50-60 years later (not the same shoe obviously). Now, let's take the AE Park Ave's for example. That shoe has been in production for almost 85+ years.

I never understood sellers who say that. I ship to the States and Canada all the time. I go to the same post office. I might have to fill out an extra form, but that's it.
Oh well - I think I'm a 43 anyway
That's not the point. I have had buyers trying to start something, ie negative feedback or file with Paypal because they have to pay customs which is something out of my control.I never understood sellers who say that. You can't be serious with what you said. When I mean luxury dress shoes I mean: Carmina, Alden, Farragamo, Crockett & Jones, John Lobb etc etc
If you're wearing LV, Gucci or Versace shoes then that's another topic for another day
Versace ties are actually very well made ties. Ties and shoes are totally different though.
To be fair, not everyone can afford $500+ shoes.Aldens a luxury dress shoe now?
Ya'll need to look up the meaning of luxury again.

To the ordinary Joe, Allen Edmonds are high end grade while they're really entry level in the grand scheme of the shoe world.
I'm sure a lot of these lux kicks are made by Chinese immigrants in Paris and Italy. However, if you visit the places where old time shoes are made, ie Trickers, Alden, Vass, etc you can appreciate the fine craftsmanship. They really take pride in that stuff.
This will not end wellI don't live in NY or LA, I don't know about them brands except for Ferragamo. You can't be serious with what you said. Also get out of here with that Versace ties being better made. You could have gotten a tie from Jos.a Banks.
But realistically, is paying 4x as much for well made ties really different than paying 4x as much for well made sneakers? You can't be serious with what you said.
