I've been enjoying wearing my straight fit jeans more. Everything else I have is slim fit. It's a nice change from the small pockets and denim hugging your legs all the time.

GQ is trash. They have 6'8 250 dudes like LeBron in skin tight pants. They haven't gotten a hold of the simple idea that the fit of the clothes should match the physique of the person. fitted clothes look good on the slim and athletic soccer player physique , not brolic guys
the 80s and 90s were just horrible eras for fashion in general
Towni from TSB interned for GQ for a few months and was telling Adrian and I how working with GQ wasn't all it was cut out to be. In regards to the stuff they featured he put it very simple, whatever brand paid the most to sponsor the magazine issue is the brand that got was featured the most and so on. They go for the look that looks "good" in pictures not what is remotely comfortable. It was pinning central.

Was looking at stoned washed jeans lately and trying jeans on, I just can't stand straight fit, the taper to the ankle has to be the right width or else it just plain looks bad to me. Anything 7" or bigger leg opening when it comes to jeans just doesn't look right to me. All personal preference though, on wool trousers or chinos, 7" is perfectly fine.

Yeah, I've seen his pants and kudos to him for bringing it to fruition. I have thought about ordering a pair many times, but I don't think I will get many spins from it.

I actually wear my rocawear and southpole jeans to the day in casual outfits. I always bought my size, even in the hip hop era so right now I can even wear my rocawear polo and jeans to work on a casual friday and not look completely ridiculousI agree. The Lebron XI is something nice. I still haven't cop a pair though.

Well yes, of course people have priorities over dressing but I doubt anyone here is starving their family just so they can buy a bespoke suit. This place is one of the most thrifty threads i've been to and that's a good thing. I mean just look at people bugging Carlin for them AE deals.
Also, blogging has become a job on the internet, they get paid to do it so if those who are single and work at Urban Outfitters as a day job, blogging provides an extra income so it becomes part of their priority. Hell if I got paid to go shopping, dress up and take pics, hell I am not going to say no to that and I am guessing many here wouldn't either.
To others, it is a touch of fame or notoriety, so let them be. Plenty of people are shallow like that, I mean look at NT, people always trying to be the first to make that joke in new threads to get thumbs and a few making multiple troll accounts so they can give thumbs to their own posts. This has what the internet has evolved to and you just got to roll with the punches or ignore it.
As for dressing comfortably, you do know that once you are used to dressing a certain way, anything else becomes uncomfortable? I used to wear Phat Farm jeans and once I switched to slim jeans, anything that fits slightly big automatically feels weird and awkward. Your body adapts to it, just like with working out, you do the same work out all the time and your body will hit a plateau. I only use that analogy because you mentioned being fit as a priority to others and thought it'll help you understand.
So those who wears skinny jeans, they aren't exactly killing themselves, it is completely possible that they are very comfortable in it.
Not everyone has to dress for the occasion too, people won't know what I am doing before or after if they see me in a suit at the supermarket so I really shouldn't care what a person I will likely never see in my life again thinks. This is exactly what happened when Russel Wilson was posted in another thread wearing a suit in a Nets agme, people were like WTF? You in a game and you wearing a suit? Get the f outa here! But then it was revealed that he just came straight from doing David Letterman show so again, people shouldn't judge someone from a single pic or a single location.

What is uniqlo? I've never heard of it until I starting lurking this thread. I mean, I know it's a webite (and possibly a store?), but do they have quality products? Because it looks like most of their stuff is pretty reasonably priced. I'm just a little surprised to see a site like that mentioned repeatedly in a thread like this.

It is a Japanese brand store, pretty much a Japanese H&M but yes quality is much better while price comes pretty close to H&M. Even better when they have a sale.

Very nice basics and their outerwear (ultra light down) was clutch this winter. Warm and very flexible.
Quality is better than HM, but isnt super amazing either. I'd go for basics and outerwear.

bout time...al tho i hope they improved on the slim fit if they decide to do them again...fit great in the shoulders but were long and boxy through the body...
...from looking at their regular fit ones, it doesn't look very long, so ill buy a few to test it out...

Socks, v-necks, basic t shirts and tanks, underwear all good buys from Uniqlo. They had a nice duffel coat out this past winter that IMO was worth the $99 price tag. They had a peacoat too but that was terrible. The ultra light down was worth every penny. I used it literally everyday, to work, to the gym, everything. It was so damn flexible and light, yet still warm.
