No one is arguing about their function and I admitted Nike can't beat them when it comes to running shoes but stop making damn excuses for ugly designs.
Good for you that you feel you know what you are talking about, but you aren't the only one here who knows about shoes. Great that you used to be a shoe store assistant manager, with all the training you go through right? I'm sure no one here has gone to a shoe store and knew more about shoes than the managers, but hey I'll give you a cookie later, that isn't the end all be all of the discussion though.
And I don't have to feel good about my Nike shoes, I am very happy to wear them, I could care less about Asics functions because I am not a professional runner. I run in Nikes and feel no pain = I am happy. I ran and didn't have the urge to throw up every time I look in my feet. And trust me, if I run in Nikes and it hurts any part of my body, I would stop buying Nikes, this isn't some "I look good while I'm running so I don't care if my knees are wrecked at age 40". Why can't we have both? I am not the only one vouching for Nike running shoes obviously, not everyone here runs a marathon and hell go to the running thread and you'll see plenty of happy Nike users but that's null because obviously all those guys who runs marathons on a monthly basis with Nikes are just in it for the looks, right?
You just sound close-minded, at least I admit Nike used to suck in the category but you can't even admit they have gotten better. Have you even ran in recent Nike shoes? Because I have ran in almost all the Nike running shoes and not all are good but some are very good. I've owned NBs before and really not much difference on my end. Tried on Asics and Brooks too, they were ok. Yeah I've been to Fleet Feet who lets you walk/run in the shoes outside to see how you feel about the shoes, I found Nike to be of equivalent to be honest, again not a pro or marathon runner. But I guess my own experience is null.
Also, the dude clearly asked about running in Nikes and you had to chime in with another brand. From what I remember, he didn't ask what other shoe is suggested but hey you'll come back with "i'm just trying to help" bit and that's nice of you but stop making excuses for the brands ugly designs.
Here's Asics' support # (855) 233-3120
I'm sure they'll be glad to tell you everything you don't want to hear.
And hey, you want me to give you Nikes support # as well so you can hear the things you don't want to hear? Because I am sure they will also tell you the function of all their tech and how great they are if you call their hotline.
