Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Today's entry into the staple challenge:

Nice, bro. I love those boots. You always have an eye for this.

I will post come Saturday :lol right now, I'm dealing with a semi freeze storm .

Curious, about how much do you guys pay to get pants hemmed/tapered? Went to a tailor and while I liked what he did, he charged me an arm and a leg.

Hem: $16 (price is the same if you want cuffs or not)
Taper $10
Hem & Taper: $22/23

For a suit jacket, how much would a rough estimate be to shorten it? Its a tad long on me, also woudnt mind shortening the arms an inch.

Assuming the buttons are nonfunctional my tailor charges around $40. It's been many years since I've had this done though so it may be more now.

I think he's mainly asking about shortening the length of the jacket (he mentioned the sleeves as secondary).  I believe it can be done but it would take a lot of work, more money than it's probably worth and depending upon how much you want it shortened, it can throw off proportions in terms of placement of the pockets.  It's worth inquiring about, no idea of cost but naturally it'll be quite a bit more than shortening sleeves.

Capes were brought up a few weeks back.

..unfortunately

This.

Person who brought it up was rightfully reported and banned from the thread for inappropriate subject matter.

Clearly belongs in the "dressing best" thread. No one can out dress cam :hat

Anyone know of any good deals on Clarks Beeswax Desert Boots online? Best I've seen is $85 on Amazon.

Cape is actually part of menswear. I'm designing one right now. A charcoal gray one with round collar.
