Donald Trump is running for president

I really thought Ted Cruz would do better in the South.

The problem for Cruz is that he needed to get a super majority of evangelicals and he couldn't even do that, in fact Trump got more evangelical votes than Cruz.

I believe that among some evangelicals, they really do believe that abortion is murder and that the path to paradise involves putting the Us embassy in Jerusalem. or a majority of evangelicals, however, their faith is a marker of cultural identity. It is just another way to declare the primacy of wealth, whiteness and masculinity. Their church selects the biblical passages that can be interpreted to mean that middle aged, white, slightly sexist, upper-middle class insurance salesmen, who style themselves as rugged outdoors men happen to be God's chosen people.

Trump fits right in with that version of evangelical Christianity as he plays the role of domineering provider and patriarch.

what happens when you text trump to that number on the podium?

Oh, for sure. Another egomaniac who's been an embrassment to New Jersey. He needs to just go away into an abyss of cheeseburgers.
All I can think of with christie is the segment on triumph's election special with the re-enforced toilet seat.  Also the scene where they claim he got stuck into the students desk at the school

Something about how Trump says "the blacks" and "the hispanics" rubs me the wrong way even if it's followed by "they love me"

It struck me as weird at first but he says that for every group - the evangelicals, the highly educated, the poorly educated, etc.

Hey has yet to make a single statement about how exactly he would do something and people vote like sheep. Hell even his economic plan is based on consistent 10% GDP growth, something the US hasn't seen since after WW2. It just proves more and more about how maybe 2-5% of the population is even somewhat competent to vote. And even that might be a stretch :{

To be fair Obama did the same thing. No specifics and just ran on Hope and Change.

The US economy is not too strong now if we're talking GDP growth and overall performance. There are even talks of a possible recession in 2017.

To be fair, neither is the rest of the world, considering China's spiraling, emerging markets getting hit hard, and overall shakiness.

No candidate can spur consistent 10% GDP growth, but when you appeal to the lowest common denominator, you win.
