anyway. like I said. I really don't think the target market for the EQUUS lives on NT...
eventually Hyundai's name will no longer have that "It's a Hyundai" stigma. It'll prob take another 10-15 years...but it will happen.
Till then they should stick tk what's been working though....a good warranty and very affordable prices.
the point in these cars and better designs and lineup is to get rid of that "it's a Hyundai" stigma. If they just stuck to "what's been working" they'd never get rid of it.
So they figure a sedan that doubles the price tag on their most equipped SUV, will certainly put them over the edge and they would now be recognized as also a luxury brand?...ehh..It just doesn't make sense to me and I will never ^^^be able to agree...let's see how those sales end up justifying the production of this car.
you have to remember.. they did this with the Genesis...a 40K+ car
and while sales haven't exactly been gangbusters, be it the economy or demand, they still are doing decent sales.
What these cars are doing is changing their target market's perspective of what a Hyundai is...instead of bypassing Hyundai in their car buying process.. people are actually considering it... in fact, one of my friends whose previous car was a 5 series bought a Genesis back in 09.
One only has to look at all the awards the Genesis has received to see how good of a brand Hyundai is becoming.
